Aroma is IPA with a noticeable pepper component. Taste is a little muddled. The pepper sort of mutes the hops but the sharpness of the pepper isn’t there either. Good but not a favorite.

Medium copper foamy head. Aromas herbal pepper, pine, light citrus. Flavors light pepper, light pine, light maize finish. Medium sweet lightly bitter. The spicy kick eventually catches up with you. There should be more in the complexities but the peppers, well, they put enough in the mash.....

Bottle (20 oz). Copper color with a tinge of red and off-white head and substantially lacing. Citrus hop aroma with malt and jalapeño. Citrus hops with pineapple notes upfront. Caramel malt with mild jalapeño in the medium finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours an odd clear red with a slight tan head. Smells of smoke, citrus, nuts and a dash of jalapeno. Tastes piney floral and citrus with a slight jalapeno kick, Not really hot. Mouthfeel was medium like a watered down motor oil. Overall? Excellent! The perfect curiosity!

Clear reddish amber, moderate head, decent lace/retention. Aroma is jalapeno pepper with notes of grapefruit and citrus. Mild to moderately hot aroma, light and straightforward caramel malt backing. Medium bodied, moderate to low heat, moderate bitterness, light alcohol in finish. I like that the pepper flavors don’t melt your mouth and that it’s well balanced - it’s just that the flavors aren’t that great.

22 oz bottle. Pours amber with some small particles. Aroma is floral citrus hop that’s quickly overtaken by pepper heat. Flavor has the pepper with a fairly mild heat and a citrusy floral hoppiness. I taste some black pepper in there, too. It’s a pretty good one.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 7/4/2016. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy orange/copper color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass; with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, lemon zest, orange peel, jalapeno pepper, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of juicy citrus/pine hops, jalapeno pepper, and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, lemon zest, orange peel, jalapeno pepper, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/grassy bitterness and light-moderate pepper spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, lemon/orange zest, jalapeno pepper, pine, toasted bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/pine hops, jalapeno pepper, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitter/spiciness as well. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present; only light pepper heat as well, which does not build up too much through the glass. Overall this is a very nice DIPA. All around good juicy citrus/pine hops, jalapeno pepper, and moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV, with the modest pepper flavors. A very enjoyable offering.

On tap, pours copper with nice off white head. Citrus and spicy pepper on the nose. Flavor is not hot, meaning from the nose I figured it would be more of a palate wrecker. Good match, of the hop to spice. Bitter finish, was shocked on this one.

650ml bottle from Woodmans in Waukesha shared with bananabi11. Copper pour with an off-white head. Solid pepper/pine tang. Some caramel malt. Some citrus. But the pepper, pine and malt lead. One of the better jalapeno brews as it is so drinkable. 14.1

Deep amber, almost copper. Nose of green pepper/jalapeno with thick caramel malt and light citrus. Flavor is more green, vegetal jalapeno with mild citrus, tropical fruit and caramel/toasted malt. Only mild heat. Was surprised how drinkable this was.
