COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A native plant of North America, pumpkins were first used in beer in colonial America as a substitute for hard-to-find malt, and none other than the father of our country George Washington had a highly touted recipe. This imperial porter pumpkin beer combines the robust, full-bodied style of a porter with a, frankly, crazy amount of pumpkin.

A wonderful pumpkin porter with just enough pumpkin spice to balance the coffee warmth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

OnTap at the River Room, Whole Foods, Boise Very dark brown pour with a thin light tan head. Soft sweet rosated malts and pumpkin spice notes. Subtle and plays well with each other. Not over-done or chemically like some.

A nice dark pour...for some reason I was expecting a more "pumpkiny" color. Not too much of a pumpkin flavor which for me was good. A nice malty brew and really smooth Actually a nice brew you could drink on any occasion not just the fall.

Meh...this isnít bad but nothing great. Aroma and flavor were the same. Nice roasted malt with an underlying spiciness. The pumpkin pie spices were balanced but kind of conflicted the roasted malt and light coffee flavors. Cinnamon and nutmeg were the big spice flavors. The finish left a little burn with me like there was chipotle in there. Iím not dumb enough to think that was in there but there was a slight spice burn. Nice surprise. Mild carbonation.

Draught at Malt & Vine, Redmond
Dark brown color. Light aroma of butter and spices. The mouthfeel is quite round, there is caramel flavor, and mild spices (cinnamon and nutmeg); moderately sweet.
Balanced. Well brewed.

Dark brownish red with a thin tan head. Aroma of pumpkin and caramel. The pumpkin flavor is fairly strong. Very sweet but also has a little roasted coffee. Medium body.

Bottle shared by Kevin. Pours a dark dark amber with a ring of off white head. Aroma and taste of pumpkin and heavy spice.

Interesting combo, but probably prefer them separately. Pumpkin kinda conflicts with the traditional porter/stout notes.

Pour is a black with a small thin tan head. Aroma is a nice mix of brown sugar and cinnamon spices. Flavor is a smoky malt to start then comes some pumpkin pie spices and dare I say you can even taste some actual pumpkin in this. Finish is a rich roast malt and some sweetness from the brown sugar. Decent pumpkin porter, most Iíve had either go with a really heavy roasted malt or spiced out the wazoo. This is a nice mix of both

Medium brown, thin head. Aroma has a lot of pumpkin, spice...nutmeg, cocoa, pumpkin and cinnamon on the palate. Good brew. Nice, balanced spiced porter.

Pours a darker brown color with a tan colored head. A big fresh pumpkin spice aroma. A very slight chocolate in the background. A lot of pumpkin pie qualities. I donít think I could drink very much as its a bit on the sweet side. It does get smoother as it warms. It becomes a little more mellow of a drink. Overall not bad.
