A native plant of North America, pumpkins were first used in beer in colonial America as a substitute for hard-to-find malt, and none other than the father of our country George Washington had a highly touted recipe. This imperial porter pumpkin beer combines the robust, full-bodied style of a porter with a, frankly, crazy amount of pumpkin.

A wonderful pumpkin porter with just enough pumpkin spice to balance the coffee warmth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours black with a small tan head. Smells of pumpkin and hints of roast and chocolate. Taste is pumpkin, hints of roast and a touch of chocolate. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Alaskan Pilot Series: Pumpkin Porter finishes with a pumpkin punch.

Dark brown. Malt up front with pumpki...horahh! Full body through and through. My first pumpkin porter and Alaska nailed it with this one.

Another beer in my quest to find the best pumpkin beer. This one does not disappoint. Great rich raw earthy pumpkin aroma. Smooth and creamy. Delicious. Cocoa porter is great and works seamlessly with the pumpkin. Very mild spices if any. This beer is all about the pumpkin and porter. Killer aroma. Awesome beer!

Pours black with a tan head and aroma of pumpkin, spices, and roasted malt. Nice chocolate and roasted malt flavors with present pumpkin pie, spices - nutmeg, cinnamon, and allspice, leading to a pumpkin spice, roasty finish. Delicious pumpkin porter, very tasty

Bomber. Pours a dark opaque lack color with a small head. Nose is fabulous with pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice and chocolate. Taste is pure pumpkin with the autumn spices and sweet chocolate. Finishes on the same tasting notes. A delicious porter for the season. Quaff Score 9 / 10

From the 22 fl. oz. bottle stamped 20-A02114. I thought I was done with pumpkin brews for the year but then this one arrived from a friend (not a RB trader). The pour is a deep brown tone with ruby red hues and a thin, slightly lingering tan head. Aromas of nutmeg, cinnamon, brown sugar, yeast, and caramel malts waft upward into my nose and make this highly appealing. The body is about medium and also creamy and smooth. The taste brings out the pumpkin spice, especially the cinnamon, beautifully with a smooth, yet dry briefly lingering finish. The best of both worlds. A Porter and a Pumpkin and it works well.

UPDATED: OCT 12, 2013 Tap. Pours a clear dark brown body with a small fizzy light brown head that faded to a thin ring. The nose is very pumpkin laced with just a minimal spicing. The chocolate malt and light roast really balance well. Nice lingering pumpkin meat finish. Just a little malt bitterness and coffee on the finish. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation and a slight cling on the back end. Really well done pumpkin porter.

Solid if unspectacular. Pumpkin flavor is evident, but overbalanced the base porter, which is too hidden in taste. Likewise, the sugar and spice notes need to be amped up. This is not bad at all, but there are others that are better. B- ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber, thanks brenn79. Aroma is roasty, pumpkin pie spices, raisins, molasses, chocolate. Pours an extremely dark brown, near black, with red highlights; has a beige head that falls fairly fast. Taste is sweet, spicy and savory. Has a licorice component to the flavor. Mouthfeel is a little oily, a little creamy; body is medium to full. Excellent pumpkin beer, exceeding my expectations. Addendum: I had to up my aroma score a point. It really opens up after a bit. A nice (above average) meaty pumpkin pie aroma, similar to Pumking, comes out after warming up a bit.
