COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Alaskan Raspberry Wheat is an American-style Wheat Ale that highlights the bright flavors and inviting aroma of more than 3,000 pounds of real raspberries added during fermentation. Years of local demand through Alaskan’s Rough Draft program of draft-only releases and a Silver medal from the 2008 Great American Beer Festival make Alaskan Raspberry Wheat the perfect brew to launch the Alaskan Pilot Series.

The fruit on the nose of this beer is AMAZING! You can tell how much raspberries are in the recipe. My wife approves of it as well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

First and only fruit beer that didn’t taste like a beer with fruit juice added to it

22oz bottle poured into a Flute at 38°. Color is a reddish amber with light carbonation and a small tight white head. Aroma is a bright fresh raspberry scent. It has a light body with a crisp clean mouth feel. Flavor of fresh raspberries and a touch of wheat then a very mild bitterness. After taste is clean with a light dry feel coming out of the bitterness. Overall this is a very tasty fruit wheat, one of the best I can recall having.

22oz bomber. Unfiltered glowing red-orange with a creamy, thin off-white/pinkish head. This is probably one of the better raspberry beers I’ve had. Fresh red raspberry taste, a touch of rindy dryness, along with some mellow wheat, and a very smooth meidum body. Not hoppy, not sour..pleasantly unique and non-gimmicky. Simple in it’s essence, but one to appreciate if you’ve had countless subpar raspberry beers.

22oz bottle - Hugely satisfying and immensely quaffable due to the generous amount of raspberry flavors found in both the aroma and flavor of the beer. Rarely do I find the raspberry flavors to be natural tasting, and carry some of the tartness found in fresh raspberries. It’s found here, along with some tannic seediness. Some light lemony notes can be found on the palate, and I’d be hard pressed to say this is a wheat base beer just because of the amount of jammy raspberries that are presented here. Delicious.

A solid raspberry beer right here. Not perfect but thank god they didn’t over sweeten it as is the tendency.

Sampled on 7/17/2011. This fruit beer pours a murky reddish amber color from a 22oz bottle. Medium sized off white foamy head, with good retention and nice lacing. The aroma is raspberries, cereal, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied fruit beer. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are floral. A very clean and nice raspberry flavor throughout this beer, it is not overly sweet or artificial. It just taste like raspberries. Lively carbonation. Good summer beer, tastes very nice on a pleasant summer evening. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is raspberry and slightly sweet.
