S- Nose is roasty and toasty malts, very coffee-forward with heavy tones of smoke, hints of caramel, chocolate, and butter as well
T- Initial taste is mostly subtle coffee and chocolate malts, nice smokiness and a touch of roast, finish is sweet malts with slight bitter hops
M- Medium-bodied ale, watery texture, slightly under-carbonated
D- Nicely balanced porter that is easy-to-drink and just in that session range, this is a solid Porter that does many things good lakersfan16 (53), Anchorage, Alaska, USA

Pours a dark black with a creamy tan head. Aroma is very smokey, however not overly intense. Very rich flavor of dark malts and smoke, with hints of coffee and chocolate as well. The finish is almost all smoke.
This can be enjoyed by sipping all night, or used in cooking as well. I’ve used this many times in making caribou pot roasts in the crockpot. They even have a recipe on their website, which is delicious.
I was informed that this beer has won more medals at the Great American Beer Festival than any other beer, quite an accomplishment. Allen (1436), Switzerland

Appearance: It pours a dark brown beer with a beautiful mocha head. Nice lacework. Aroma: Rather smoky. A lot smokier than Stone Smoked Porter for example. Hints of ash, blue cheese and caramel. Very pleasant. Quite a lot of roasted malt. Flavor and palate: Strong smokiness. Very low carbonation. Smooth. Medium bodied. Hints of blue cheese, ash, basil, vanilla and marshmallows. Salty. Very subtle despite the strong smokiness. Wonderful strong dry finish reminiscent of smoke and ash. Overall impression: A very good Smoked Porter. Thanks a lot DuffMan! smashteroid (252), USA

Aroma is pretty smoky, yet not overpowering. Slightly sweet malt flavor up front...very smooth mouthfeel. Taste of smoke slowly blends into the back, along with a much more robust malt flavor. Finish has somewhat of a smoke bite to it, though just enough to make you want another sip. One of my all time favorites...this gorgeous elixir has most everything one would look for in a brew!

A beautiful marriage between a full-bodied robust porter and a Bamburg smoked beer only with a touch ashier smoke. Nose of campfire and chocolate, roasty, some caramel, some earthy hops in there. Ashy/earthy smoke. Flavor is rich with chocolate, roasty, campfire smoke, earthy malt, with a touch of acidity from the combination roast malts and smoke. Restrained hop bitterness towards the finish. Med to full body, fairly lush in the mouth despite the slightly evident acidity. Excellent.
