Thanks IBrew2or3. Pitch black pour, mocha head. Aroma of burnt kingsford, it smells like my charcoal grill. Mostly chocolate and roasted malts, no hops really coming through. The smokiness stays the whole time and really lingers in the aftertaste killing all other flavors. It’s very creamy and has a great mouthfeel but I just can’t get past the smoked flavor it just doesn’t do it for me. Good for what it is but just not my thing.

Jul 19, 2008 bottle thanks to bhops. black pour with a huge 2 finger caramel head. smells like bbq, charcoal and malts. very smokey flavor that finishes quite nice with roasted malts.

Jul 19, 2008 2007 bottle. Pours black/dark brown with two finger head. Aroma of ash, smoke and roasted malts. Flavor is also smokey.. all bbq and charcoal. Medium to thick mouthfeel. Good smokey porter.

Jul 19, 2008 Bomber from Bottleworks. Deep black pour with a smallish head. Solid nose of chocolate, coffee, and smokehouse. Delicious flavors of super dark coffee and cocoa powder blend well with the meaty smoke notes. This is the least "meat" flavored smoke beer I’ve had, definitely the smoothest, and my favorite by a landslide. I really wish I could buy this locally as I’d love to keep some around and try aging.

Jul 11, 2008 2007 bottle from Chuck and Laura in WA. This is the first beer I’ve had from the Smoked genre. It very much reminded me of standing next to a charcoal BBQ and drinking a dark beer. The palate was surprisingly smooth and the flavors were distinct (chocolate and licorice). Very interesting brew.
