COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The dark, robust body and pronounced smoky flavor of this limited edition beer make it an adventuresome taste experience. Alaskan Smoked Porter is produced in limited "vintages" each year and, unlike most beers, may be aged in the bottle, much like fine wine.

Tasted on 1/6/13 from a capped 22oz bomber bottle purchased quite some time ago at Sun Devil. Pours opaque, nearly black dark brown with a very thick tan head that slowly recedes to messy, thick lace. The nose is more smoke than anything else, with plenty of dark chocolate and coffee malt to back everything up. The flavor is the same, with the smoke really dominant up front, with tons of roasted malt and a touch of added vanilla on the back of the palate. The body is medium with average carbonation and a long smoked, bitter roasted, and light touch of vanilla sweet finish. This beer is holding up very well, and having had it several times in the past, it is still an accurate reflection of what this beer is and can be.

Butelka 2013. W zapachu karmel, czekolada belgijska, espresso, nuty spodu od ciasta, wędzoność. Kolor niemal nieprzejrzysty czarny, z rubinowymi refleksami. Wzór do naśladowania.

Sampled from a 0.65l bottle @ RBNG 2014. This is a bottle from 2012. In the glass this one has a deep and dark brown body that has a little sidesticking kinda dark beige top. Smells smoked alright. Beefy smoke with a little bit of both dry licorice and chocolate. Smells nice. Yeah, it’s also smoked in the taste. Like matches, burned matches, soft beef jerky and chocolate. Gliding light oily in the mouth and soft to average on the prickling carbonation level. Quite flavorful. Probably worth a revisit. 15.02.2014

The leader and original in the category. You have to like/appreciate smoked beers to dig this beer.

Bottle at RichTheVillan’s tasting, 27/11/13. Clear dark brown, nice head leaves good lace. Rounded savoury smoke and sweet roast malt on the nose, touch of peat. Moderate sweet, chocolate, light coffee, dark toffee malt, medium hop bitterness, very dry finish, luscious smoky character. Very smooth, creamy, maybe a touch too spritzy but incredibly drinkable.

Corpo medio, poco carbonata. Davvero buona

Bottle. Dark pour with tan head. Smells of dark malts and a lot of smoke. Tastes of the same with a balanced/woody finish ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not a bad beer. Smoked as a burned wood or coal. Well balanced but a bit soy souce like. Overall a good beer. Had better though.
