COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The dark, robust body and pronounced smoky flavor of this limited edition beer make it an adventuresome taste experience. Alaskan Smoked Porter is produced in limited "vintages" each year and, unlike most beers, may be aged in the bottle, much like fine wine.

Bottle. The pour was a very dark murky brown with an average sized (1-2 finger) frothy light brown head that dissipated slowly into just a few puddles and a ring of residue, leaving behind some really good sheets of lace. The aroma was right of front with a strong smoke odor and a moderate burnt dark bread malt, a light resin hop and a meaty yeast. It also had decently strong notes of dark chocolate, a dark roasted coffee and a hint of wood. The taste was smoky and mildly sweet with a hint of chocolate at first and then became moderately bitter and quite roasty with a nice dose of coffee and had a pronounced smoky finish. The flavor lasted a really long time after the swallow, being mostly of chocolate and coffee but having a strong smoky ending. Mouthfeel was right between medium and full in body with the texture being nice and creamy yet just a little dry and having a mild carbonation. Overall an impressive smoked beer that had a ton of flavor with a very nice blending of the smoke, so it did not become too overpowering on the taste buds.

Pours black with a large tan head that leaves a thin lacing. The aroma is a strong, peat smoke smell. A nice, smooth porter with the flavours of cigars, peat, earth and vanilla.

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2016 Butelka 0.5l (26.12.2026). Piwo totalnie czarne, nieprzejrzyste. Piana bezowa, obfita, drobna, calkiem trwala, ladnie oblepiajaca scianki szkla odmierzajac kazdy lyk. W aromacie wyrazna wedzonka o szynkowym charakterze. W smaku palone z dlugim i bardzo wyraznym wedzony posmakiem przyjemnie gryzacym w jezyk. Piwo pelne, tresciwe w odczuciu ale pijalne a leciutko sciagajaca goryczka fajnie pobudza slinianki do pracy, az chce sie wziac nastepny lyk.

Affumicato delicato, meno aggressivo delle classiche rauch. Aromi di caffè, cioccolato, liquirizia. Retrogusto caratteristico che ricorda l’aceto balsamico.

Exceptional balance of smokey malt, sweet chocolate, and coriander aroma taste. Pairs well with red meats: burgers & steaks.

Dark brown to black colored, small beige to tan head, not very lasting, nice lacing. Aroma is of black and roasted malts and quite smokey. Taste is medium sweet caramalt, dark chocolate, roasted malt and decent amounts of smoke, medium roasted bitterness, lasting smoked bacon finish. Full- bodied, average- carbonation, creamy.

Bottle aged for about four years, BBE 09/18/2012. A clear very dark mahogany body with a large brown head that settles to a thin layer. Nose has nice smoky notes, oak, bacon, smoked meat, caramel and bourbon. Taste is mildly sweet with heavy smoky accents and a mild dry finish. Soft carbonation and medium to thin palate. Quite nice smoked beer with pleasant aromas and smooth flavor.

bottle, pours dark brown with strong beige head. Aroma of cocoa, caramel, smoke, roasted malt, earth and raisins. Quite high sweetness with a slightly ashy bitterness in finish. Not worth that money but still a nice brew.
