Oatmeal stout - Deep black body with a moderate brown head. Standard roasted malt with some light coffee and chocolate notes. A bit of oatmeal present but not in any great quantity. Fair drink.

a touch thin for a stout. dark brown/black with small head. lots of roast chocolate, really didn’t get much oat.

Very dark brown, minimal tan head, no lacing. Aroma is chocolate, bitter hops. Some coffee, chocolate, and a hint of soy sauce. Date code is : 081108. Must be a use-by date as this is 061708. Nice flavor profile, well balanced.

Sample at the Most Honorable SuperHappyFun Stout Tasting, thanks Dogbrick: Pours a dark mahogany brown with ruby highlights. Frothy, off-white head. Creamy, chocolate malty mouthfeel. A lot of roastiness throughout. Toasty caramel malt in there as well. Fairly dry. Not bad in the least, but just sort of uninteresting.

5-19-08 bottle shared with lb4lb thanks to Bitterbill
Black pour with no lasting head. Smell is figs, unripe bananas and a hint of muted vanilla and more figs. Flavor is somewhat milky and has some light chocolate malt to it. Little to no carbonation. Has a strange sweet charred aftertasted and the palate just doesn’t work well with the other elements of the beer.

For some reason, the bar I was in called this "Oatmeal stout." Chocolate. Bit of coffee. Also, it had a bit of that tangy taste Duck Rabbit’s beers have, but without the sour taste hanging. Not bad.

Pretty darn good stout. A little light on the body, and served way too cold, but very nice chocolate and coffee touch. Id buy again. Very few flaws in this stout, but misses some complexity. Easy drinking...a sessionable stout.
