Bottle almost black small tan head. Toasty nose slight anise. Actually for a thinner stout I really liked it cuz I could drink many without filling up. OK Stout

aroam is a toasty chocolate, it does pour and feel a little thin, but for a coffee lover like myself i think its one of the better stouts.

Pours a watery black with a splash of tan head that vanishes before your very eyes. Nose is watery and mildy roasty. Flavor really tastes more like a porter to me. Very thin overall. Not a bad beer just kind of boring.

Bottle (12oz). from blankboy. Poured slighly fizzy murky dark brown-black with an average fizzy-creamy light brown head. Deep roasty coffee and dark chocolate malt aroma, plenty of hops, and some sweet cola notes too. Taste is quite lactic - like a coca cola float - with enough hops and strong coffee bitterness to balance -not bad, but a little thin, some lemony sourness develops. Mouthfeel is quite lively, a little light bodied, yet still creamy. A decent, if light, and lemony stout.

UPDATED: DEC 21, 2007 Nothing offensive about this at all. Pours a thinnish black in color with ttle head. Mild aroma of roasted malts and licorice. Sweet and hoppy flavors intermingle on the tongue. Lots of burnt licorice and roasty caramel flavors. Pretty nice.

Alaskan Stout is sweeter than a typical oatmeal stout. Chocolate, licorice evident in body and aroma. Low bitterness lets the sweetness shine though this black stout.

12oz. bottle. Opaque black with red-brown tinges. Small tan head. Semisweet chocolate and a mild roastiness in the aroma. Overarching roast malt character envelopes sweet and semisweet chocolate, some chalkiness, and hints of lactic sweetness. Residual sweetness and some coffee astringency in the finish. Mouthfeel is light medium, rather smooth.

Maybe the photo on the left needs to be updated, but my bottle had a green label that claimed to be an oatmeal stout. Anyway, this was a nice little beer. Pours dark brown, almost black, with a slight head. Aroma is oaty and chocolate. The taste was very smooth. Roasted malts, oats, and chocoloate dominate, but there is a coffee bite near the end. A bit thin, but a very good beer.
