COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The unique blend of the oats and malts in Alaskan Stout produce a balanced, smooth beer with hints of chocolate, coffee and caramel.

One of my favorite styles of beer, 12oz bottle pours a deep black with a small tan head. The alcohol is not that strongly present. Hints of chocolate and licorice with a nice smooth maltly taste. Lays well on the palate. Wish I had more then the one.

12oz bottle. Pours a pitch black body with a finger-width, creamy, dark brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is solid. A good amount of roasts with some sweet oats and chocolate. Some caramel, coffee, licorice, and dark fruits too. Flavor is more the same. Plenty of roasts to go with sweeter oats and chocolate. Has that same licorice, dark fruit taste that the aroma offered as well as a sweeter caramel and coffee. Finishes dry with a solid bitterness that accompanies the pleasant roasts and leaves a lengthy aftertaste. Medium body and fairly mouth-coating with a light-moderate, smooth carbonation. Overall, a very nice stout. Simple at first glance, but after a second look, it offers a very pleasant depth. Lots of balanced taste and easy drinking. Great beer.

Aroma: Dark malts, chocolates
Taste: Dark malts, chocolate, coffee, metallic aftertaste
An OK beer, not my favorite from Alaskan.

Black with a frothy brown head. Smells kinda like cherries and chocolate. This full bodied stout goes down smooth and creamy, you taste the roasted malts and chocolate than it has a light bitter finish. Pretty good.

On tap. Just start by saying I’m absolutely in love with this brew (as if the numbers didn’t show it haha). Very lovely appearance, slightly tan head with decent retention, very dark black/brown. Fruity aroma, no noticeable hops, slightly sweet. Fruity flavor with a whiskey flavor finish, once again no hops and very little bitterness. Medium body, low carbonation, very smooth. Gonna have to finish this keg off myself.

12 oz. bottle from Beer On The Wall. Dark brown to black pour with a thin but creamy tan head. Rich chocolate aroma as well as smoke and roasted coffee. Dark, almost burnt, roasted malt flavor which I actually find quite satisfying. Very flavorful, much more than most beers under 6% ABV. I like it.

Pours dark brown to black, with a cream colored head. Very smooth, tasty, and drinkable. Oats and a light malt are evident, with hints of coffee and chocolate. A solid stout. Thumbs up.
