2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle - pours dark with a light tan head. Although there isnít much alcohol in this beer, it seems to stand out in the aroma. There is a coffee taste to it, thin on the mouthfeel and somewhat of a watery finish. I probably would have given it a higher rating had I not had the Alaskan Perseverance Ale (Russian Imperial Stout) first.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from the Farm to Table Pavillion at GABF 2012. Pours a medium brown with a tan head. Nose is earth, roasted malts, some unsweet chocolate, and black coffee. Flavor is similar- earthy roasted malts, dry coffee, and bits of chocolate. Light to medium in body and lingering earthy roast in the finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark beer with tan head. Smells roasted with hints of chocolate. Taste is roasted malt, heavy oats. Some sweetness. Medium body, makes it easy to drink. Iíve had sweeter sweet stouts, but this is still a solid beer.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
My third sweet stout, and although Iím not a fan of the style, this is the best one so far. Pours very dark as expected with a tan head. Aroma is all roasted coffee, but the taste is less coffee and more roasted. Bitter, of course, but this is lighter and easier drinking than the others.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear predominant coffee aroma and hints of chocolate on a surprisingly light bodied easy to drink beer. Malty and sweet but not to much. A bit watery for a stout, but not bad.

Apparently Iím supposed to fill this out. Take the numbers that I put down with a grain of salt if you will, but Iím just your average NW beer junkie looking to sample as many different brews as possible.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Deep dark brown coloured body with a rich brown chunky look and a thin, fast-dying tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, milk, cherries, a touch of coffee, nuts and a bit of caramel. Medium-bodied; Assertive roasty flavour with a lot of chewy chocolate and light spice notes strong up front. Aftertaste fades into a bit of raisins, some grapes, a little lactic flavour and some cherries touch off a bit of vanilla. Overall, a nice stout with a good body and a subtle but pleasant complexity. I sampled this twelve ounce stubby bottle purchased from La Bodega in Anchorage, Alaska on 23-June-2011 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 24-August-2012.

Pours near black w/ a small thick tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, some grains near oaty, light milk chocolate and other lactose like notes. Full well coated palate. Flavor of milk chocolate some lightly roasted coffee and roast notes.
I didnít expect much and was very pleasantly surprised. A very well done smooth stout with a nice sweet lactose sugar finish. I really enjoyed it.
