Alaskan Stout (oatmeal stout); 6.2%; 12 oz bottle consumed in Redwoods Park. Opaque black-brown; weak tan head that leaves spotty lacing. Aroma: dark bread with hints of molasses, coffee and dark fruits Flavor: Does not deliver on the promise of the aroma. Moderate level of dark roasted malts flavor. Tame. Coffee. Faint, roasty aftertaste. Feel: medium-light carbonation. Medium-light body. O: OK for style.

Smokey and complex with a smooth finish. This is a meaty brew that makes for a very drinkable dessert

The aroma is sweet and toasted with chocolate and coffee. The appearance is brown with a medium head. The taste is like the aroma and astringent. The palate is smooth but thin. Overall nothing special but is definitely a stout.

Bottle - Deep black pour with a thin filmy brown head. Nose is milky, with chalky medium roast. Chocolate and a touch of coffee. Roasty taste, dry and lightly ashy. Milk chocolate--pretty balanced between sweet and roasty. Medium body and smooth carbonation. Good stuff. Real easy drinking but pretty sweet.
