UPDATED: MAR 9, 2012 12 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a reddish hue and a diminished light brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, mild chocolate. Flavour is mild chocolate malt, slight sweet and with a note of vanilla. Ends with a mild lingering spice note.

From tap at Taphouse Grill. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted dark malty and chocolate. Smooth chocolate, light fruity and dark roasted malty flavoured. Light bitterness. Thick malty and smooth roasted malty into the finish.

Bottled. A dark brown beer with a red shine under a brown head. The aroma is sweet mlaty with notes of caramel and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt, as well as medium notes of caramel. I find the body thin. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Degarth. Clear, dark brown with a reddish hue and a dense, beige head. Burned and a little chocolatey sweet aroma. Medium-bodied with sweet notes of hard roasted malts and a whiff of vanilla. Subdued bitterness. A little low in carbonation. 120108

UPDATED: SEP 20, 2014 Med brown, has a vague cocoa character. Somewhat thin body has some fudgey notes, and the finish is pretty sweet. A little too simple, thin and sweet.
