3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 Zimmo (57) - Siloam Springs, Arkansas, USA - JAN 27, 2007
12 oz bottle. Pours dark brown with thin tan head. Light aroma was precursor to the light drink ahead. Very nice roasted malt with light chocolate. Perfectly balanced, perfectly smooth. A very nice stout.

Rather sweet, (sweet stout I get it...) Diminishing head. Hits the spot, then disappears like a thief in the night.

Pours a dark brown with a thick, light brown head that has good retention. Mild aroma of coffee and chocolate. Medium bodied with a dry taste of coffee, roasted malts.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 danfosha (47) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - NOV 16, 2005
Medium lacing on a brown foamy head. Strangely, the first aromas and even taste were reminiscent of anchovies, but it quickly blew off. This bottle was at least 6 mos old and that may be the reason for the unusual smell. After that, a really nice stout - deep black color, full bodied, well balanced, maybe a bit sweet for my tastes. The required chocolate and coffee are well represented.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 thoreaubred (42) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUL 28, 2005
A little light on body and flavor, I would have liked this to be a little darker and ticker. Yet, it’s a decent, well rounded beer. This could be an "every day" stout.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 mike5203 (33) - Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 2, 2007
12oz Bottle, pours dark brown with a this off white head. Aroma is malty and sweat and that is how it started to taste, then tuned a little sour. I am not sure how old the bottle iI got was, but it was not good as expected.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 CarterHayes (32) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 9, 2006
12 oz. bottle. Pours an extremely dark brown, nearly black, and is completely opaque. Smells quite roasty and pleasant, with hints of dark chocolate and espresso. Has a full taste that fills the mouth and leaves a flavorful and compelling aftertaste. One of my favorite stouts.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 JB99 (27) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAR 10, 2006
aroam is a toasty chocolate, it does pour and feel a little thin, but for a coffee lover like myself i think its one of the better stouts.
