COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Just when you’ve had enough of winter, we release Alaskan Summer Ale in March. This traditional Kölsch beer is a great way to celebrate warmer weather and more daylight. Its crisp, clean flavor is the perfect complement for crab, halibut, salads and longer days.

The beer pours an almost off-putting shade of yellowish orange with essentially no head or lacing of any kind. The nose is malty but light and not particularly engaging. That said, it’s sweet and bready and doesn’t smell off at all. The taste brings in some spicy hops and a faint vinous character. There just isn’t enough depth of character to bring out any more interesting notes. The mouthfeel is surprisingly effervescent and would be even more enjoyable given a different flavor profile. Ultimately, it’s an ok beer with a bland recipe.

Nice summer brew. Taste is light malty and light citrus. Bit of brown sugar peeking out from the malts. Nice crispness to it. Sweetness from fruityness gives way quickly to a smack. I’d buy this again.

Bottle. Pours a golden body with a white head. Spices, bread y with wheat, grain, and hay notes. Some light fruit spices and a mild malt finish. Decent.

Very, very clean light golden color with little head retention. Slightly fruity on the nose but definite malt dominance. Light body and malty flavor with not much bitterness (if any). High mouthfeel and a quick ending rush of carbonation.

Bomber. Somehow this was ’lost’ in the back of the beer fridge. Aroma is very light, hints of powdered sugar and oranges. Taste is light and refreshing, very citric orange and lemon in the middle and a mellow finish with just a hint of bitter. Really nice summer sipper.

12 oz. bottle- Pours golden with a large head, aroma is wheat and citrus. The flavor is orange citrus and very mellow, one of the best summer beers out there.

12 oz bottle. Smells like cotton candy, syrup. Pours pale gold with a decent head, good lacing. Tastes of berries, grain. Not as full-bodied as I would like. Better than Pyramid’s Kolsch.

Light golden colored, floral aroma, light fruits. Light on the tongue, little bit sweet with some orange rind and dry finish. Thanks to my parents for bringing it back from Montana.

Served from a bottle aboard the boat on our honeymoon cruise. Pours an orange hue with a small white head. Flavors and aromas are sweet malts, a touch of fruit, and a mild bitter taste.
