pintsize (1042), Austin, Texas, USA Nov 5, 2007 9-13-07 bottle. Dry yeasty aroma. Okay flavor - but not much of it. Smells sweeter as it warms. Light bodied and easy to drink. A bit watery though. Boutip (2335), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Oct 18, 2007 Bottle: Poured an orangey color beer with an average size head with some medium retention. Aroma of grainy and somewhat unrefined grain is slightly bland. Taste is also dominated by some unrefined and grainy malt and some semi-sweetness. Body is slightly oily with a full body and some medium carbonation. Interesting take on the style but not something I would go for on a regular basis. CaptBier (301), Birmingham, Alabama, USA Sep 29, 2007 Only had this a few times while I was there but was not really drawn to it. A lot of people liked it though. Just has an odd flavor. JMFG (1514), Florida, USA Sep 16, 2007 Bottle. Pours a clear straw color with a thin white head. Very mild malty-sweet aroma. Slightly corny taste profile with a crisp finish. The corniness is slightly off-putting and makes the brew taste heavy and unrefreshing. brianjames1 (322), Northridge, California, USA Sep 15, 2007 12oz bottles. Label reminds me of the movie Shamu. Beer is not bad an excellent summer ale very refreshing and very smooth. I would take this over a Carona or any other piss lager that people enjoy in the sun. RAYBOY01 (1813), Chicago, Illinois, USA Sep 15, 2007 Decent enough brew...starting with a cremy pour and rich head. The aroma is mild malt sweetness and touches of mild floral hoppiness. The flavor is pretty mild as well, but largely caramel sweetness (touches of bread dough) and a very light floral hopping. A tad thin-bodied but OK. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA Sep 14, 2007 Updated: Oct 28, 2007Thanks to Fordest for this- Dark yellow to light gold pour in a Kolsch glass. Big lasting white head, and a faint grassy, sweet malt smell. Was refreshing, sweet and nicely but mildly flavored of crisp malt. A bit watery especially in the finish, but still enough flavor to keep from being boring. This is a good Kolsch, but I’m starting to crave more flavorful beers as its cooling off. Wegro (218), Fresno, California, USA Sep 7, 2007 My first Kolsch. Tastes pretty nondescript, but is crisp and refreshing. The best part about it is the cool little killer whale it has on the bottle, honestly.
