Odeed (1666), Bakersfield, California, USA Jun 23, 2007 (another gift from irishboy)typical "beer" looking beer.some hay and wheat in the aroma.sweet caramel start in the flavor followed by the hay and wheat i got in the aroma.not to bad at all. mcbackus (725), Merritt Island, Florida, USA Jun 22, 2007 bottle from irishboy: pours a hazy straw colour with little to no head. aroma is sweet with wheat and a bit of yeast. the flavour is very nice hops grassy and wheat in the flavour with a smooth finish. a very good summer beer. mgumby10 (1844), Jupiter, Florida, USA Jun 15, 2007 Pours a dark yellow orange with a small white head. Bubbles continuously rise to the top searching for air. Smells of nice citrus, grapes, a little wheat too. Pretty refreshing taste. I was thirsty when I drank this so it went down kind of fast. Had some nice citrus and wheat, a little grain. Very easy drinking summer beer. Decent. DYCSoccer17 (2187), Davis, California, USA Jun 15, 2007 12 ounce bottle. Aroma is a bit estery with some banana aromas as well as some grassy hoppiness present. Smells more like a Belgian Ale than a Kolsch. Transparent golden/yellow body with a relatively small, quickly dissipating white head. Starts with a light puckering astringency. Becomes grainy, malty, and cereal-like. A little chewier towards the end with a bit of sweetness and a light grassy hop bitterness. This is a fucking piss poor rendition of a Kolsch. I mean, it’s an ok beer, but don’t try to call it a Kolsch. Tejas (693), Dallas, Texas, USA Jun 15, 2007 Good and has more flavor than I expected from a Summer Kolsch. Still though these tend to be weak, imo. Plenty drinkable but needs more hops. Beerlando (2284), Orlando, Florida, USA Jun 13, 2007 Enjoyed several of these on vacation in Alaska. Pours golden color with a smooth white head. Aromas are light malt, mild hops and a bit of citrus. Taste is simiar, with a bit of spice mixed in as well. Fairly light body and smooth aftertaste. Nowhere near Alaskan’s mastery that is the Amber, but very drinkable nonetheless. JB175 (1654), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 9, 2007 Light golden color wiht a fizzy white head. Aroma is light and grainy with a hint of citrus. Flavor is light and grainy with just a hint of light berries. Not bad for a Kolsch, but its probably my least favorite style (except for Pale Lagers) shp555 (1678), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jun 6, 2007 Pours a golden yellow color with a white head. Aroma is of light malts, slightly grainy. Flavor is light malts, with a light fruity finish.
