truegen (137), Puyallup, Washington, USA Apr 2, 2008 12oz. bottle. Sparkling honey gold; head dissipates rapidly with no lacing. Nose is mostly of grains, though there are some herbal/grass notes as well. Fresh, clean taste, again mostly grain. Good balance between malts and hops. Almost falls into the lawnmower beer class, but this is a slight cut above that. Alaskan Summer is also a great beer to entice friends out of the macrobrew rut.
Gurst (312), Ann Arbor, Wisconsin, USA Aug 25, 2008 Malts come in sweet and low. A kind of funky aroma translates over to taste too, giving it a light, yeasty zest. Nice hops in the finish, very well rounded flavors. Nothing bites, but it all grooves nicely together. travita (716), Lewisville, Texas, USA Aug 18, 2008 Bottle. Color is straw to golden in color with a light white head. Clear. Smell is floral, fruits, some spices, and malts. Taste is pretty light with some malts, hops, grass, fruits. Pretty easy going. colts9016 (180), Oklahoma, USA Aug 11, 2008 Poured in a lager glass, Light colored yellow and slightly cloudy.
Nose: malty, grassy, hops and hints of yeast
Taste. Hallertauer hop comes through with a rounded malt character. and hints of yeast and grass passes through the malt character.
Finish. Slightly bitter and linger for a second or two.
