Formerly known As Alaskan Belgian Wit

Brewed with coriander, bitter orange peel and malted wheat, Alaskan White Ale has a light and crisp body pleasant tartness followed by slightly spicy aftertaste. The malted wheat gives the beer a more full and lightly malty mouthfeel. There is an aroma and flavor of wheat and coriander, with a dry and refreshingly carbonated finish.

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has earthy wheat with a touch of light fruit and some light spice. Flavor has lots of earthy wheat with a bit of light spice and bread.

Good move from Alaskan, balanced and refreshing. Pouring a cloudy yellow. Not too zesty. Drinkable

This is actually pretty good, itís not normally my style but very crisp and clean, especially for a wheat. Get the light spice but nothing overpowering to take away from the drinkability. A pleasant surprise.

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate orange/orange peel, coriander, and a touch of grass. It pours a slightly hazy golden-orange with a small white head that fades to a thin film outlined by a thicker ring. There is some minimal webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with light citrus and wheat. The finish has light-moderate orange peel, light coriander, and a touch of lemon. Itís light bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, itís a decent thirst quenching lawn mower beer.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a tumbler in late 2013. A: Orange/red. See through. Almost no head. S: Orange, spices on back end. T: Orange, wheat, spices. M: Smooth. O: It didnít look like much, but this was surprisingly good. It is one of my favorite wits.

Light orange amber color with a smallish white head. Creamy, lightish body. Love the smooth creamy wheat. Modestly spiced. Easy. Nice.

Pours a slightly hazy golden color with white head. Very drinkable, but a little too tart for my taste

Bottle in pint glass. Clear golden yellow with a tall head, it turns hazy with precipitate soon as the foam settles. Aroma is light citrus and grain, taste is citrusy, flowery--nothing exotic really, just a decent and satisfactory golden wheat ale that satisfies without trying to be more than it should be. And to me, that worth a lot. Score: A ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Translucent, cloudy golden yellow with a mid sized head. Unenthusiastic white aroma containing yeast, citrus, honey, and malt. Although the taste isnít spectacular, I appreciate the novelty. Itís essentially a far more refreshing and less rich version of the typical Belgian White. Cream, yeast, honey, wheat, and malt are all there, but not nearly as bloating. Nice mildly hoppy finish.
