2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 troyc (2014) - Oklahoma, USA - OCT 12, 2011
[Bottle] Pours a surprisingly clear golden color with a foamy white head on top. Weak aroma of wheat malts, sweet fruits and mild yeast. Breads, coriander, grass and grain throughout. Sweet esters continue into the finish. Thin mouthfeel detracts from mild flavor profile. I was expecting a bit more from this beer.

Pale straw with slight haze. Tart nose with some mild yeast spice and citrus. Watered-down wheat malts, lemon zest, mild spice, some plastic. Finishes with a watery tartness.

Light golden coloured body with a nice hazy glow and a very thin off-white head. Aroma of light spices, coriander seed, bananas and a bit of yeast. Medium-bodied; Nice sweet and spicey flavour with some mellow malt tastes and a herbal kick. Aftertaste shows more of a pronounced yeastiness with a little wheat and some alcohol coming through. Overall, a decent wit, but nothing amazing - still nice to try, being in Alaska. I sampled this twelve ounce stubby bottle purchased from a Gas Station in Glitter Gulch (Denali National Park), Alaska on 25-June-2010.

355mL bottle poured a slightly cloudy golden-orange color with a modest white head and some nice lacing. Aroma of orange peel and coriander spice. Taste is malty sweet with some spices and bitterness of orange peel and very nicely balanced. Nicely carbonated with a medium body. Highly recommended for lovers of witbier.

Tap. Pours a somewhat cloudy amber color. Taste has a touch of spice which lasts on the palate. An enjoyable beer.

Bottled. Poured slightly hazy medium golden with a short off-white head. The aroma picked up earthy spices, orange zest, and coriander over honey and lesser bready malts.. just a little too malt-forward, but not bad. The flavor found the same malt bill at the core, with orange zest and coriander around.. lots of residual, honey-kissed sugars on the grainy finish. Light-medium bodied with just enough carbonation on the palate.. OK feel and flow.. decent drinker.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 OldGrowth (1782) - North Carolina, USA - SEP 25, 2011
bottle, from brewery, drank in my room while on beer cruise. Good aroma, sweet. minor spice. Little orange, banana, coriander. Clean golden orange color, small to no head, no lace. Bitter flavor. Medium body, Creamy mouthfeel, bitter dry finish. easy to drink summerish beer. Nice bite about the flavor whick differs from aroma, which was sweeter.

Spicier witbier. I felt there was too much plastic going on for my personal tastes.
