COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly known As Alaskan Belgian Wit

Brewed with coriander, bitter orange peel and malted wheat, Alaskan White Ale has a light and crisp body pleasant tartness followed by slightly spicy aftertaste. The malted wheat gives the beer a more full and lightly malty mouthfeel. There is an aroma and flavor of wheat and coriander, with a dry and refreshingly carbonated finish.

Grainy aroma. Light gold, little head no lacing. Slick palate with slight grassy and resin herbal hop flavor. Canít taste any orange or coriander, but there is some spicy phenol in the finish. Also canít taste any wheat. Prob the worst al alaskan beer Iíve had and not much of a wheat beer .

Bottle pour. Pours a hazy gold to copper with a big white head of foam. The aroma has big fruity spices with a solid wheaty, bready backbone. Taste is fait sweet with that bready, spice forward character taking precedence. Light to medium body and medium carbonation. Very good.

355 ml bottle poured into a globe glass. Hazy, pale golden appearance with a lingering white head and light lacing. Aroma of herbs, citrus fruit, coriander, zest, spices and light malts. Similar flavor, mildly sweet, lightly spicy and tart with minimal bitterness. Average body, a little thin and watery.

UPDATED: JUN 3, 2014 She pour a slightly hazy yellow/orange color and leaves the same colored body with a two finger white foamy head that rises and falls within thirty seconds to a film coating the top of the body. Streams of carbonation are seen rising at a moderate pace. The smell has some light malt. There is some light banana all coming through in a refreshing sort of way. Hops are barely there, and there isnít any yeast. The taste is slightly malty but not sweet, sour perhaps - hmmm.... maybe, no yeast. There isnít any aftertaste and there is a dry watery finish. On the palate, she sits fairly light, comes across sessionable, and seems a bit undercarbonated for a witbier. Overall, this is a mostly average beer for its style, but comes across well for the summer months. I would probably have this again with a nice seafood dish.

Iíll be honest...the aroma produced a gag reflex. Something fecal about it. To be fair, my fellow tasters didnít pick up on it. Small head, no lacing, yeasty flavor, and very watery finish. Blech.

Mild nose of sour dough and malt, cloudy straw colored with a small head. Taste of dough with a watery palate.
