COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly known As Alaskan Belgian Wit

Brewed with coriander, bitter orange peel and malted wheat, Alaskan White Ale has a light and crisp body pleasant tartness followed by slightly spicy aftertaste. The malted wheat gives the beer a more full and lightly malty mouthfeel. There is an aroma and flavor of wheat and coriander, with a dry and refreshingly carbonated finish.

Aroma has light fruitiness, coriander spice, tartness, wheat. Tastes of wheat with toast and biscuit flavors, some spice and coriander, yeast, minimal citrus presence. Thin, light body. Pretty light on flavor as wits go.

Pours clear pale gold with a thin white head that fades. Aroma of hay, very mild orange and yeast spice. Taste is equally bland. I kind of expected more flavor from this but then again it is very easy to drink and a good sessionable Wit sense it’s not overly sweet.

Hazy yellow/orange with an off-white head and just ok lacing. subtle aromas of wheat, lemon, and spices. Flavor matched the smell, with nothing really presenting itself very strongly. Medium body, high carbonation, slightly watery mouthfeel, and a crisp finish. There are better examples of the style.

Draft. hazed golden, lagery pour. Honey looks, nose is off-sweet herbs and fresh yeast. Taste is sweet, light honey and wheat. Big lemon-citrus, clove. Decent white, full ale body.

Alaskan White Ale. This is a pretty good beer to start out with. It pours out a golden hue with a slight haziness, but it was for the most part pretty clear. it was poured with a pretty sizable head, but the retention and lacing wasn’t much to speak of. It dissipated pretty quick. The aroma was fairly yeasty and had slight spice and malt notes. It was pretty subtle in the aroma department. The flavor is pretty good as well. It’s subtle in its sweetness. It carries a wheat flavor throughout its body with sweetness from what seems to be grapes, cantaloupe, and maybe honeydew. My main complaint about the flavor is that the body of the brew doesn’t really hold the flavor too well. You taste it and then your palate doesn’t really hold it well. The flavor vanishes as fast as it appears. Despite that, it is still a good beer to start out a meal with. It’s light, not over powering, and it has a delicate flavor that settles on it’s own waiting to be followed with something heavier.

Pours a hazy golden yellow, nose is heavy on orange peel, hint of corriander, little too much residual sweetness, kind of tasty.

12oz bottle from Colorado trip. Pours deep gold with an orange tint and a severely bubbly white head that disappears almost instantly. Aroma is strong wheat and yeast, overpowering subtler aromas. Flavor brings a light honey sweetness with a punch of peppery spice layered over simple wheat bread base. A bit overcarbonated, but overall a refreshing white.

2010-07-06. Lightly hazy golden body, small white head. Fairly bitter flavour, light spice, orange peel. 6+ Lightly fruity aroma, orange peel and modest spice. 6+ Average plus palate. Decent but on the mild side. On tap at Bigfoot Tavern, SeaTac

bottle. Pours orangish golden color with white head. Aroma of wheat and sweet spices. Flavor imitates this but with less sweetness and more pure wheat character, full bodied mouth feel, smooth but with a bite, nice subtle spices. I actually think this is quite good.
