COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly known As Alaskan Belgian Wit

Brewed with coriander, bitter orange peel and malted wheat, Alaskan White Ale has a light and crisp body pleasant tartness followed by slightly spicy aftertaste. The malted wheat gives the beer a more full and lightly malty mouthfeel. There is an aroma and flavor of wheat and coriander, with a dry and refreshingly carbonated finish.

on tap @ Prospector’s / Denai Nat’l Park AK --- Hazy dirty light amber color, white head cover, sheets of lace. Taste is light sweet malt that adds cookie spices, actually becoming sweeter as it moves to a finish in which hops are nearly out of the equation. Seems more a Hefe that a White, but, regardless, it still works as a light, satisfying brew.

Rated based on notes taken 10 Nov 2012 -- Good example of a Belgian wit. Not my favorite style but this beer will drink for sure.

12 oz bottle. Bottled on 04/02/15. (White Cross Liquor) Las Vegas, NV.
Hazy golden colour with a mid-size foamy white head. Yeast, bitterness, spices and some citrus notes in the aroma. The flavour is wheat, mild yeast, bready malt and sweetness. Closer to American Wheat Ale than Belgian Witbier.

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has earthy wheat with a touch of light fruit and some light spice. Flavor has lots of earthy wheat with a bit of light spice and bread.

Good move from Alaskan, balanced and refreshing. Pouring a cloudy yellow. Not too zesty. Drinkable

This is actually pretty good, it’s not normally my style but very crisp and clean, especially for a wheat. Get the light spice but nothing overpowering to take away from the drinkability. A pleasant surprise.
