COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly known As Alaskan Belgian Wit

Brewed with coriander, bitter orange peel and malted wheat, Alaskan White Ale has a light and crisp body pleasant tartness followed by slightly spicy aftertaste. The malted wheat gives the beer a more full and lightly malty mouthfeel. There is an aroma and flavor of wheat and coriander, with a dry and refreshingly carbonated finish.

Alaskan White has a thick, white head (which doesn’t stick around very long), a clear, bubbly, yellow-golden appearance, with a descending light cloud upon swishing and pouring in the bottom bottle contents, and minimal lacing left behind. The aroma is of white wheat bread and sweet grain husks, and the flavor is of sweet, white wheat bread, a touch of lemon, and subtle coriander. Mouthfeel is medium, and Alaskan White finishes mostly dry, refreshing, and easy drinking. Overall, this is a good beer, and I mostly enjoyed drinking it (once). RJT

Got in a trade with swingracex. 12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 4/12/2013. Pours hazy golden straw color with a 1 finger foamy white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin lace that lingers for a bit. Minimal lacing on the glass. Aromas of pear, coriander, orange peel, wheat, light pepper, light clove, floral, and yeast earthiness. Ok aromas with decent balance and complexity; but there is not much going on here other than the spicing. Taste of pear, coriander, orange peel, wheat, pepper, light clove, floral, and earthy yeast spiciness. Lingering notes of light fruit, coriander, orange peel, wheat, pepper, floral, and earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Good balance of spice/malty flavors, without feeling watery; and no cloying flavors present after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth and fairly crisp mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a solid witbier. Solid balance of flavors and easy to drink; just really not all that exciting. Enjoyable stuff.

12 oz bottle pours a pale cgolden color with small white head and very little lacing. Aroma has orange, coriander, and not much else. Body is light to medium with lively carbonation. On OK session beer but not great for the style.

Appearance: clear light gold color, nice thick and dense white head, laces ok Aroma: orange, coriander, perhaps some bread, refreshing Taste: orange, hint of bitterness, Palate: some c02 burn, has a nice froth feel to it, hint of a lingering bitter aftertaste, sort of a medium body Overall: this is a good example of a wit beer, highly drinkable and refreshing, bottle purchased in Colorado and enjoyed in Louisiana

Sample at brewfest. Again, another pretty bland beer. Some orange, coriander and wheat, refreshing enough but nothing stands out.

1st night at the Circle D. (Patty and I had moved over to the Prospector Inn cause the room assigned to us was not as nice as JB’s) (too rustic... bad shape) Bottle. Pours hazy yellow, white fizzy head. Aroma of wheat malt, coriander with a nice little spiciness. Flavor is much the same. Light, soft mouthfeel with fizzy carbonation.

Bottle. Clear yellow-orange with white fizzy head. Aroma is sweet, coriander, and wheat. Taste is coriander, spices, and kind of watered down. Very thin body and soft carbonation.

355ml bottle from The Beer Cellar. Zesty fruit aromas with citrus dominating. A hint of pepper in the flavour, full creamy mouthfeel. Amber with a light white head.

Rons bottle. Thanks! Though I spilled much of it in the circle d. Spicy nose. Refreshing and decent body to this. Nice. Ps Lois loves it.

Strangely clear for a white. No foam head. Aroma is weak, wheat. Taste is little dissapointing, not like a Belgian White. Aftertaste is shortlasting. (Houston 201303)
