In short: A thirst blonde beer with plenty of hay, countryside field character, fruitiness and a sharp dry finish. Nice
How: Tap at Alaus Namai, Vilnius, Lithuania. Also 2L PET bottle picked up directly at the brewery and split 2-way very fresh one day later
The look: Almost clear golden-blonde body topped by a small white head
In long: Nose is fresh hay, light countryside character and light notes of fresh leafy and citric hops. Taste has plenty of hay, countryside field sensation, some tropical fruits, some lemony acidity, light notes of bananas, mild bitterness. There is a bit of sweetness (more pure sugars than honey/caramel) but fortunately the beer ends rather dry. Nice thirst beer. Visiting far away countries just to drink and rate session beers may seem like a waste of potential, but you should know that I didn’t get where I am today by being a productive member of society.

(Rating #4206)

My Bottom Line:
Subtle toasted sugars are lifted by prickly effervescence, as spicy hops easily balance this dry and quenching Lithuanian Šviesus.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam surrounds the misty straw blond.
-Mouthfeel is lean and bubbly.
-Light citrus fruit increase quaffability.
-This is a well-made, very pleasant hoppy quencher.

On tap at Alaus Namai.

Plaas (92) - Alkmaar, NETHERLANDS - MAR 7, 2012
Blond, unfiltered beer. The foam did not last for long, which is a shame. The taste was very nice. It is more bitter than most Lithuanian beers. The hops are aromatic, but not very fruity. This beer goes with the tasty maltiness that is so typical for Lithuanian beer. Refreshing, balanced, just a good beer.

Small offwhite head doesn’t last. Deep yellow body. Papery barnyard aroma with strawy notes. Dry-sweetish earthy papery resiny taste with floral notes. Mid-bodied. Dry floral herbal aftertaste with buttery mealy notes. Easy to drink, nice, harmonic. Quite bitter, but unobtrusively so. Strong dusty straw character, which makes me wonder if this what Lithuanian hops taste like. (0.5l draft, Alaus Namai, Vilnius.)

(Draught at Alaus Namai, Vilnius) Poured pale golden and clear. Head was medium sized and white. Aroma contained butter and mildly grass. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were butter, sweetness, bitterness and acrdidness. Aftertaste was bitter. Acrdidness was too unpleasant for my taste.

Draught. Unclear amber colour. Sweetish malty caramel hoppy aroma. Pleasant malty hoppy bitter flavour. Well lasting bitter dry finish. Quaffable brew indeed! Puta means "bitch" in Spanish....

Draught at Alus Namai, Vilnius. Almost clear nut brown, small head. Spicy resiny hops dominate this beer. Quite dry with slndr rounded body, long powerful resiny bitterness. Easily the most hoppy Lithuanian beer I’ve had, BU must be in the area of 50.

2l bottle (SOPP2009)
Massively sweet honey sugar-puff aroma, like my ’golden nuggets’ cereal when I was a kid. Fantastically above my expectation for a weak beer. Malt and hops in excellent balance. Good graininess to the malts, hops clear and fresh. Great combination. This beats a lot of ales.
