Bottle. Dark brownish colour with short average lasting head. Aroma of toasted malts and caramel. Roasted maltiness with a nice touch of sweetnes, some bitterness, which stayes well in the aftertaste. A pretty good brew!

one of the few viennas that rubs me the wrong way completely. it’s like they wanted to make a crossover between a stout and a schwarzbier and landed here. too sour and not enough carb ’along with’ not much taste

33cl bottle. Pours dark amber with a small creamy white head. Nose and taste is vaguely roasted. Some dark malts. Caramel and bread. Medium to watery body. Hints of straw and a weak note of metal/iron. Not the worst beer from the brewery.

H. C. Andersen had to "father" quite a few things in 2005 - and I hope he doesn’t turn in his grave in distress over this one - I would, that’s for sure!!! Dark brown, nice head. The aroma is lightly malty and hoppy. The flavour has sweet notes of molasses, a sour hint, and a suitable bitterness in the finish.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a beautiful, clear nutty brown with a beige head. Aroma mainly of nuts. Fairly light body with a high level of carbonation. Flavours of nuts, roasted malts and burned caramel. Subdued bitterness. Quite pleasant. 291106

UPDATED: SEP 11, 2006 Now I have tasted it again after I found a brew which was BB February 06 and had been kept on the shelf in the local supermarket by an accident since, and it was actually a lot better now it had matured a bit. The aroma was like the danish dish "øllebrød" which is bread softened in dark beer, and the taste was øllebrød too, but with more malts. The aftertaste was a bit boring; bread-like and only a little hopped, but it was actually still a good beer.

Bottle labelled "dark pilsener". This is, as far as I can tell, a normal Albani pils with added sugar and caramel colouring (E150c). Yucky and very artificial.

Red brownish colour with a medium light brown mostly diminishing head. Aroma and taste of malt and caramel.

A deep red beer with a nice brown head. The aroma is very sweet with strong notes of straw, caramel, and corn. The flavor is sweet with notes of metal, caramel, and corn, leading to a dry corny end. The mouthfeel is thin. The only good thing about it is the beutiful color.
