Dry apple aroma, funky, a bit too much on the rubber side for me. Crystal clear, very pale yellow, some carbonation. Very dry, with the same rubbery quality, lightly tart, not quite medicinal, but very phenolic. The story on the label is fascinating, but this cider is too dry for my tastes. I’m guessing this is an acquired taste that I haven’t yet acquired. This cider cider is helping me get it.
4.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Travlr (5359) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - DEC 29, 2010
750 ml bottle courtesy of Linda (thanks!), shared with Shukhrat from Uzbekistan. Crystal clear gold, hi carbonation. Aroma has intense fruit, plus apple skins and lemon peel. Taste has a barely sweet start, then turns slightly tart, then finishes very dry. Very nice fruit flavor, and very refreshing. Probably the best American cider I have had - reminds me of my time exploring Normandy and Brittany.

750mL Bottle poured at CiderDays 2010. This was probably one of the better non-New England ciders for the evening, in my opinion. Big floral fresh apple fruit aroma. The flavors stayed fresh and in the dessert fruit realm, with a some shaved apple and reduced apple skin, but then lots of bright tart structure to balance out off-dry sweetness. The flavor continued in floral. A really enjoyable example.

Bottle. Aroma wine-like with soft alcohol notes amidst yellow apples and pears, a hint of marzipan. Flavor is lightly sweet with sweet apples. Tasty stuff.

Bottle courtesy of dkachur in the Mystery Swap. Pours a clear and very pale light straw yellow with a thin white head. Big soft vanilla and a little bit of apple. A touch of ascorbic acid on the finish along with some odd tart note.

Bottle thanks to dkachur. Pours an extremely pale yellow; it’s almost the color of a white wine with a small ring of head and lively carbonation. Aroma of sour apple, and white grapes (it actually smells like white wine too). Flavor of tart sour apple up front that slowly mellows in the mouth. Quite drinkable with a light palate. Interesting cider!
