1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 SHIG (2697) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - SEP 7, 2007
Bottle: Poured a clear golden color with bubbly white head. Sweet hoppy grassy aroma. Corny dirt like pils, prefer when Belgiums don’t make beer like this. UGH!
1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Hildigöltur (5107) - København, DENMARK - MAR 20, 2003
A very uninteresting Pilsener. It looks good, but it tastes of corn or rice.
1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Mads Langtved (2246) - Copenhagen K, DENMARK - MAR 20, 2003
Quite maizy and malty. Not very special or complex. Artificial aftertaste. Belgium should stick to the abbey beers.
1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 skortila (4160) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - MAY 7, 2004
Aroma of skunky hops and loads of grain. Very cheap. Clear yellow coloured with a short white lasting head. Taste is grainy, hoppy and sweet. Some bitterness and metal.
1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 caesar (3747) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - MAY 6, 2004
Clear yellow color, short white head. Aroma of skunky hops, some malt and grain, weird sour metallic industry perfume. Taste is watery, some bitterness, bit metallic sharp. The metallic sharpness stays in the palate. I’ve had a couple of those bad belgian pilseners, but this is one of the worst.
