Quack-Duck (1829), Bodensee, Germany Jun 25, 2008 bottle, bought at the brewery. Clear golden yellow. Perfumy nose. Flavours of aromatic hopy with a sweetsih malty background. Thin-bodied.
pivnizub (3871), Porúří, Germany Aug 15, 2008 Bottle (Dank an den Bodensee !): Golden, quickly collapsing white fluffy head; grainy-sweetish, almost a bit syrupy, nose with a sourish-hoppy touch; sweetish flavour with a very faint bitterness; sweet-grainy finish with hoppy illusions. Drinkable Helles................ MoritzF (3883), Ruhrpott, Germany Jun 28, 2008 (bottle, courtesy of Quack-Duck) Clear, pale golden colour with a beautiful Pilsener blonde foamy head. Light-sweet, moderately malty nose with spicy and peppery hops, accompanied by a whiff of draff. Light-bitter flavour, light bodied with a crispy carbonation. Slim and slightly strawy malty base with light herbal accents; dry and slightly bitter and fizzy finish. Not a world-shaking nor perfectly rounded but pretty refreshing Pilsener (26.06.08).
