Clear, dark golden with a fine off-white head. Aroma is basically just malt. Flavor has a nice malt base, just a hint of roast, some caramel and not much hops. A bit sweet, not very exiting but a fine malt flavor and drinkable.

Bottled (thanks fonefan). Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is caramel malts, some toffee, mild sweet candy sugar. Flavour is caramel malts, rather sweet burnt sugary notes as well.

Clear medium to dark amber color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, nutty, caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, light metalic. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100929]

Bottle (with greetings to the Lake of Constance !): Clear, light chestnut-amber coloured, small foamy layer; shy malty nose with a metallic tinge; light sweetish-bitter flavour, rather light bodied; illusions of toasted malt and metal in the toasted and dark- malty finish. Disappointing.........

Light-bitter flavour with a sweetish edge, light to medium bodied with a crispy mouthfeel. Toasty malty taste, slightly leafy with notes of caramel/toffee and a slightly sugary and toasty finish. Solid Dunkel (28.06.08).

bottle, bought at the brewery. Clear brown colour with a copper shade. Malty nose. Flowery-hoppy flavour with a nice malty background. Hints of caramel. Well-balanced beer.
