On tap at Alcatraz in Orange, CA, it’s no secret as to which beer this is taking a poke at... It’s got more malt and balance than its namesake and was pretty tasty.

Draft. A dark red-amber beer with an orangey head. The aroma has notes of caramel and malt. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of citrusy hops combined with medium notes of toffee. Nice body.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden deep orange to brown with a small white head. Mild orange/mango fruity aroma. Flavour is bitter, crisp and sharp fruity. Distinct hoppy fruity flavoured. Light sharpness in the finish. Ends dry yet with a fruity impression.

On tap. Clear, dark amber golden with an off-white head. Sweetish burned caramel and hops in the aroma. Good body of solid roasted malts and burned caramel with a good hop kick in the finish. 050709
