cbkschubert (1520), Skyline, Arizona, USA Dec 30, 2007 On tap @ Alcatraz (Anahiem) 10/07 - This beer was called Nacktbrau Marzen (5.3% ABV) when I had it. It may be a different beer, but I will rate it here until told different. Pours a clear deep golden color with a small off white head. Light spotty lacing. Aroma and flavor is light esters and doughy malt. Medium body. Decent beer. If this is a different beer, please let me know. DarkElf (2453), La Jolla, California, USA Sep 24, 2005 (Draft: 2005 San Diego Festival of Beer in San Diego, CA) Malty flavor, moderately sweet, lightly bitter in the finish. Lightly malty, sweet, and lagerish, but it’s also a bit like "cheap beer" in aroma too. Medium body, balanced, mildly crisp finish. Clear, dark gold, which is a pretty light color for an Oktoberfest. Off-white head pours on the small side, settling to a ring. Meh, I’ve had better, but I’ve worse. JoeM500 (1877), Chicago (little italy), Illinois, USA Oct 10, 2003 Hoosier edition. Nice caramel nose. Sweet malty body with long hoppy finish. Just slightly too thin for big numbers, but decent all-around and nicely balanced. Drew (2374), Kent, Ohio, USA Nov 3, 2002 11/02 - growler from MI - thanks Chris! An above average, well balanced fest beer. Nice caramel flavors and lightly hopped. body seemed a bit thin though.
