On tap @ Alcatraz (Anahiem) 10/07 - This beer was called Nacktbrau Marzen (5.3% ABV) when I had it. It may be a different beer, but I will rate it here until told different. Pours a clear deep golden color with a small off white head. Light spotty lacing. Aroma and flavor is light esters and doughy malt. Medium body. Decent beer. If this is a different beer, please let me know.

(Draft: 2005 San Diego Festival of Beer in San Diego, CA) Malty flavor, moderately sweet, lightly bitter in the finish. Lightly malty, sweet, and lagerish, but it’s also a bit like "cheap beer" in aroma too. Medium body, balanced, mildly crisp finish. Clear, dark gold, which is a pretty light color for an Oktoberfest. Off-white head pours on the small side, settling to a ring. Meh, I’ve had better, but I’ve worse.

Hoosier edition. Nice caramel nose. Sweet malty body with long hoppy finish. Just slightly too thin for big numbers, but decent all-around and nicely balanced.

11/02 - growler from MI - thanks Chris! An above average, well balanced fest beer. Nice caramel flavors and lightly hopped. body seemed a bit thin though.
