Draft at Indianapolis, IN location. Small ivory head that was mostly lasting, fair amount of lacing, very little carbonation noted, and an orange hue. Nose was lightly hoppy and a tad malty. The flavor was predominately light hops with a hint of malt. Smooth mouthfeel and light-medium in body. Quaffable, easy to drink, balanced, but nothing special to write home about with this beer as nothing stood out about it and lacks any real character. Not one that I want again.

On tap (from sampler) at Alcatraz Brewing Co, Indianapolis on 15 March 2010. Strong Pale Ale with honey. Hazy gold. Good hop presence. Honey is noticeable but not overpowering. Enjoyed this one. Wouldn’t have had it down as a Brown Ale though.

kiefdog (1826) - Tampa, Florida, USA - FEB 24, 2010
On tap at the brewpub (Indianapolis, IN). Pours a clear copper color with thin white head. Aroma is sweet and floral with notes of honey, hops, light floral esters. Flavor is sweet and floral with notes of honey, floral hops, light pine. Light to medium body with a light floral hop finish. Seems like it needs a stronger malt backbone to balance the hops.

Draft at Indy under the name Sledge. Poured a clear orange brown color with an average creamy off-white head that was mostly lasted and good lacing. Moderate toasted malt and earthy hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium toasted bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Drinkable average brew for style.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a transparent softly carbonated yellow colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was malty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The semi-thick flavor contained notes of hops. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

(Draught) Pours a medium brown color with a small head. Descent tasting ale with a mellow body.
