Sampled at the brewpub on 2/27/2012. This wheat beer pours a slightly hazy yellow gold color from the tap. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, wheat and sweet. A medium bodied wheat beer. The malts are fruity, wheaty and sweet. The hops are spicy and a touch citrusy. Lively carbonation. No banana and clove flavors. Crisp and clean. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Sample at the pub. Rating #18. Extremely hazy yellow pour with a small white head. Big wheat aroma, light citrus. Flavor is very light, more lemon and another very clean beer though. (1787)

Meh - I felt like most of the beer at Alcatraz was pretty mediocre - this one was no exception. A bland wheat beer - a bit spicy, but thin and watery. Cloudy yellow appearance is really the best aspect of this beer. I can’t believe this won a medal at the LA County Fair beer competition.

On tap at the Orange location. Pours with a hazed yellow-white body with a fading white head. Aroma is kind of week. Grassy, grainy, light vanilla. Flavors are really light as well: wheat, tea, orange-cream-soda, and vanilla. Fizzy mouthfeel.

A: Just what you’d expect from the style. A hazy yellow pour with a bit of white head. At least this one didn’t come with a slice of fruit. S: The aroma is that of wheat with a slight tartness that seems to be required in these American wheat beers. T: The flavor is similar to the nose with perhaps a touch of citrus (not lemony sourness) along with the wheat. M: Quite watery and thin in terms of body with a moderate level of carbonation. D: This is a "slamming" beer. Very little taste or body and easy to drink a lot of.
