4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottled. Golden tan, sustained carbonation gave a tight white head for ages. Itchy hop nose, warm alcohol tucked in beneath. Firmly hopped, tempered sweetness, slight spice, a very well presented ale.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice pale brown appearance with a sweetness that doesn't dominate.Plenty of body
with hops dominating.A well balaned IPA.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
A tan coloured beer with a small white head. Bowmans aroma is a spicy, hoppy kick. Like many (good) IPAs this is all about the hops - flavours are spicy, salty, peppery and followed by warming alcohol vapours. Maybe needs more "chewy" malts, but I'm more than happy to drink this again.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled. Gold coloured, poor head and moderate condition. Complex aroma with syrupy honey, malt, nuts and fruity hops all trying to grab centre stage. In the mouth nuttiness gives way to sweet malt that is almost like a German Bock but with a typicaly English level of hopping that stops it getting too sweet and cloying. Leaves with a hoppy bitterness and dissapointment you only had the one bottle. Pity about the head though.
