Dark ruby read colour. Chocolaty notes on the nose. Flavour gave me more of a burnt / ashyness. Quite dry in the aftertaste. Doesn’t taste to harsh for a 7.5%er

Pours slight cloudy to golden amber with a lacing white head. Dense fruity and solid malt aroma. Slight oxidised too. Flavour is sweet and fruity with a solid caramel base. Light hops spiced in addition to this. Goes into a slowly more dry finish. Light fruity note lingering in the far finish. thewolf (4156), Kolding, Denmark Dec 23, 2007 Bottle, bought @ YNWA, Kolding. Pours a lightly muddy deep brown with a small creamy off white head. It disappears rather quickly. Aroma is heavily malty with caramel, toffee, roasted malts and a light hoppiness. Medium carbonation with a very thick, oily mouthfeel. Flavour is powerful with a light peity smoky edge. Lots of dark toffe as well. Not sweet, but with a powerful malty presence with a feel of dried fruits. Obvious hops in the aftertaste with grass and flowers dominating. Nice and soft all in all.
