Cask at the Fox and Crown. Small off whitre foam. Litle clowdy, yellow color. Small flowery hop aroma. Big citrus taste with a sweet finnish and small bitterness.

Cask at the Fox & Crown, Nottingham. Gold with a small white head. Sweet hoppy aroma. Citric taste with some bitterness and cardboardy grain in the background. Served a little too warm, as often seems to be the case at this pub, and perhaps not in tip top condition.

Cask at the Fox & Crown, Basford, Nottingham. This is a bit like a stronger version of their Alcazar Ale. It’s also pale golden, with a fruity and floral aroma. There are soft fruit and citrus flavours and the finish is nicely bitter.

[Cask at Volunteers Arms, GBBF 2005] An orange beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is very hoppy, but also with notes of butter. The flavor is sweet hoppy and flowery, but again with light notes of butter, leading to a dry bitter end.

Cask, Derby Winter Fest 06. Golden with a small head. Aromas are sweet grapefruit with sharp lemon, sweet hay and some dampness. Flavours are grapefruit and peach with soft malts. Fruity and pleasant except for some cardboard and stale notes. Probably not in the best of condition.

Cask at Babington Arms (JDW) Derby. Looks similar to Alcazar Ale but has a hint of melon to the aroma and a maltier flavour. Another impressive golden ale.
