Cask at Fox and Crown, Nottingham. Dark brown with a small beige head. Sweet malty aroma with a whiff of sulphur. Smooth, oily mouthfeel. Sour cardboardy taste with pronounced bitterness. Served slightly warm and not in the best condition.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 2007. Deep chestnut with thin beige head. Inoffensive dark bitter. Fine, drinkable, malts have got a bit of choc, decent dryness on finish, bit of pepper hop. Pleasant best bitter.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Mungo (2472) - Southampton, Hampshire, ENGLAND - MAY 9, 2007
Gravity Cask @ Reading Beer Fesitval 07. Malty caramel with grainy notes and husky bitterness. Seems like a slight overuse of crystal for me but otherwise a pleasant if unexceptional beer.

A Mes rate:
Gravicask @ Reading Beer Festival. Nothing to inviting in the muddy brown appearance. Boring dusty bitter. Nothing bad about it just way too bland.

Dark brown coloured and easy drinking much akin to a mild. Some woody flavours.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 chriso (7063) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 7, 2005
Despite the commercial description this is nothing like a session bitter. For a start its very dark - a deep tawny/ruby colour, nearly opaque. It has a very fruity aroma - big on blackcurrant with underlying earthy malt. Maybe hints of licorice and chocolate too. Much the same on the palate, with dry malt coming through to counterpoint the juicy fruit. Smooth mouthfeel, moderately sweet, but with a slightly tart aftertaste, again providing balance and lending a bittersweet character to the beer. Complex and tasty. A cracking good beer. And that’s after a week in a plastic bottle - perhaps that improved it in some odd way. Bright bottled from cask, Reading Beer Festival 2005.

Cask @ Reading Beer Festival. Poor condition - flat. Tasty, darker beer that is largely malty. Charming.

Gravity at Reading Beer Fest, with Kook, Duff, Chris_o and Joeh. Dark in appearance. Gluey, dark malt, sandy, sweet, cidery finish, almost. Not my fave.
