Eyedrinkale (3213) - Astoria, New York, USA - MAR 25, 2008
Draft at Blind Tiger. Tiny if any head at all. Drank next to the McNeills Oatmeal, this isnt half as roasty but a lot more hoppy. The flavors are apple, plum and raisens.

Draft at Brewpub - Pleasant coffee aroma, dark & inviting appearance. Dry and well balanced stout that carries it’s flavor start to finish.

VTHopHead (1505) - Barre, Vermont, USA - JAN 27, 2008
Draft at the brewpub - Poured a very dark black/brown in color with a foamy dark tan head that faded quickly to a thin covering over the beer. Some lacing on the glass. Aroma is very strong of coffee/espresso and faint of some hops. Flavor was also very strong coffee with hints of chocolate and dark fruits. Quite bitter. Finish is long lasting and medium bitter. I like it...

chronictonic (471) - Oreland, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 23, 2005
toffe & mocha aromas mixed with coffee (made with organic coffee). initial flavor was smooth and mild, but almost immediately the coffee jumped forward along with the roased malt body. If it were a bit creamier in the palate, it would be close to one of my favorites of all times - farmer john’s oatmeal stout.

muzzlehatch (4424) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - AUG 2, 2004
Pint at the brewpub. Opaque, thick black, with a smallish dark diminishing head. Robust, coffee-inflected nose, hints of milk chocolate. Flavor robust, espresso-tinged, quite bitter late, with flavor lasting forever. Nice full mouthfeel, figs and prunes and wine present in the middle. Quite good dry stout, as expected from this fine brewer.
