Had this beer as part of Beer Quest 2010 with the guys. This was beer number 29. Pours a dark amber. Aroma of light hops. Flavor is tempered. <-- not sure why I wrote this when I tried it.

Deep amber coloured beer with a very creamy light tan head. Aroma is quite hoppy. Grapefruit and soft sweet caramel. Lightly toasted malts and a soft fruitiness. Flavour is lovely as well... soft toasted caramel and a bit of brown/cocoaish malts. Fairly earthy hoppiness initially, but then finishes with a fruity hop bite. Lingering zesty/herbal hop finish.

In short: Typical basic caramelized brewpub ale. Good entry-level but not for the beer geek.
How: Tap at brewpub december 2007
The look: Clear copper body with a medium off-white head
In long: Basic fruity caramel malt profile with almost enough citrusy and pine-tree hops to balance it off. Medium sweetness, light bitterness, short finish, medium body, medium carbonation. Well brewed but characterless. This is your basic entry-level “amber” beer for the customer adventurous to look pass the entry-level blonde ale. The type of adventurous people who don’t always wait for the green light to cross the street.
