Caramel malt aroma with low, leafy hops. Clear amber body with a low white head that recedes to partial cover. Caramel malt flavour is thick and sweet with fair finishing bitterness that only just takes the edge off. Light body with fairly low carbonation. Sampled on tap at the brewpub with beerbuzzmontreal, MartinT, Rastacouere and Yowie.

Good red colour, nice job of getting bitterness from 28 IBU. Can get lost in the "big beers" available, and the most malty tasting which is still moderate, but still a show of craft. Recommend for the less adventurous, or with food. Thinner mouthfeel, active carbonation. Fresh clean taste.

En fût-Arôme de houblon et de citron, de couleur rouge limpide, rondeur pleine bouche, goût amer et houblonné.--Draft-Lemony and hoppy aromas, clear red, palate full mouth, sour and hoppy taste.

The Lure:
Malty sweetness is very caramelly and fruity, recalling tons of cherries and berries. Problem is, that’s about all this aroma can offer, and it does get tired after a while.

The Festivities:
Caramel and toasted malts combine with the silky fruitiness, but their union is quiet and somewhat boring. There is nothing to get excited here, and nothing to hook you for a subsequent sip. Their most ordinary pint that day.

Transcendence:
Prayers at church don’t mean a thing if you don’t believe.

Fizzy white head tops the reddiah amber hue. Undersized bready caramel malts leave a lot of room for the earthy and floral hops to take, but they only do so moderately in the nose. Watery finish, very simple light-medium palate. Rather dull.

On tap at the alchemist pub in Waterbury, VT. Very easy to drink, with a sweet honey finish that doesn’t linger.

On draught 4/16/05 at the brewpub. Medium-cherry-auburn red body, with a light tinge of brown. Light beige head is moderately well-retained and the beer has a light chill-haze. Aroma of brown bread, sweet and doughy, with light hints of cherries, wood, cream and fruity hops. Flavor begins with a well pronounced malt, light creamy-vanilla/honey with some light vienna malt huskiness, caramel on the finish and flavorful, fruity hops to add complexity and balance. Only lightly bitter. Smooth, slick mouthfeel does get a touch thin and lightly astringent from a drying graininess, on the end, but the flavor starts out wonderfully full, so I am not so concerned by the light astringency on the finish. Medium body overall and quite drinkable.
