UPDATED: SEP 23, 2014 50cl can, as Focal Banger, American brew, from De Hopduvel Gent, complex bitter brew, fruity/bitter and slightly floral/malty/woody, very balanced, cloudy, good head, very good brew, yet expensive!, ’Heady Topper’s little brother, still very big!’

From can. Hazy golden color with a white head. Strong aroma of resinous hops. Pine cone and lemon lime soda. Honeyed grass. A bit of compost pile dirt. Similar flavor. Sticky honeyed bread and a bit of graham cracker. Big, boisterous dank hops. Lemon and herb. Pine wood on the dry finish. Sort of sticky. Medium body, active carbonation. Yep, very nice.

Can from TheEpeeist, much thanks! Pours cloudy golden straw with a medium creamy off-white head that dissipates slowly with nice lacing. Aroma is strong cat piss, dank as shit, some stonefruit, passionfruit, grassy notes. Flavor is light sweet and light bitter, resinous and dank. Medium body, oily mouthfeel. Intangibles - check! But somehow an IPA with two of my favorite hops just doesn’t come through for me in this case.

Can, tfs JulienHuxley! Hazy pale golden colour, white head. Aroma of citrus, mango, sweat, some pine, tropical stuff, light soapy, crisp malts. Flavour is full-on fresh citrus fruits and tropical fruits, crisp malts, hint of honey, firm bitter finish with some citrus, pine and grass. Light-bodied. Great.

Pours pale golden color with white head. Big citrus aroma with big, potent, dank, resiny pine. Flavor starts citrus followed by a sweet mango and tropical fruit flavor and finishing with a big grapefruit and resiny pine hop bitterness. Bitterness does not linger. Thanks dsandonato for this one!

16 oz can shared with JulienHuxley, Borresteijn & caesar @ Julien’s Klein Maar Fijn tasting - tfs Julien! Hazy golden blonde color. Dense white head, short retention. Strong resinous aroma, with citrus as well. Resin, grassy hops and bitterness retronasal. Bitter flavor with a malty sweet backbone. Medium bodied. Finishes dry and long lasting bitter. Yeah baby!

Can thx to Julien @ Julien’s neighbour is a metalhead according to Rob-tasting, small sample. Quite fresh sample. Hazy golden color, short head. Aroma is very resinous, pine, also some grapefruit, bit onion and garlic, some bready malt notes. Quite bitter in taste. More powerful than the Heady Topper we just had, but (unlike the others) I preferred the older Heady Topper.

Can. Hazy pale gold pour with creamy white head. Aroma is really dank, piney, resinous, dank sweaty hop, garlic, lemon, mango, just like fresh Heady as I remember it. Taste is hoppy, not really bitter, light piney flavor of course, but mostly just soft tropical hop notes with light bready malts. Palate is med bodied with light carbonation. Very easy drinking.
