Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Leighton. Lightly hazy gold beer, tiny pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth with good fine carbonation. Light airy malt, slightly sweet. Good floralness. Light and sweet tinned mango. Mellow pine. Hop spice. Airy finish with a light bitter linger. Really nicely joined up.

Can. Thanks to Hallinghansen. Pours hazy pale yellow with a creamy white head. Overly fresh hoppy nose. Apricot, pineapple, pine and grapefruit. Dry and really bitter. Juicy fruit. A bit herbal. Tasty stuff.

Can shared in London - picked up in a trade. Pours lightly unclear yellow-gold with a frothy, white head. The nose has lots of dank, pissy hop character, some lemon, faint grapefruit. Medium sweet flavor, some earthy hops, piney stickiness, some minerality, grass, melon, grapefruit. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, some oily hops, a bit of bitter grass, ripe melon, lemon, grapefruit. Absolutely lovely stuff. Extremely slam-able.

A hazed golden amber ale with a thin white head. A superb aroma of pinhey floral hops, spruce, citrus, menthol and alcohol, all smooth and enticing. In mouth, sprucey hops, malts, citrus and vermouth. Quire nice, rich and balanced IPA. On tap at VT Brewers Fest, July 17 2010.

Can split at Bruce’s pad, massive thanks to LKS - who knew this brewer produced a 2nd beer !?!, 12/06/14. Hazed pale golden with a good sized off white head that retains well. Nose is tangerine, juicy citrics, light pine jacket, peach, lemon rind, peach, grassy twinges. Taste comprises dank hops, floral notes, melon, tangerine, pink grapefruit zing, grassy, orange pithdom. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, juicy hop squeeze in the close. Solid IPA with earthy come dank hop twinges.

Big hop aroma. Lasting head on yellow body, leaving a lace trail. Citra dominated taste, rounded out by subordinate tropical fruit. Fresh tasting, a good complement to the Heady Topper. Can from Tom, thank you.

> Semi decent Citra style IPA with great aroma but lacking finish

[ Can ][ dfroms ][ 16oz ][ Trade ][ Reidel Vinum XL Pinot Noir ][ 3/15/14 ]
>> Thank you dfroms for the major hookup! Cloudy deep orange pour with medium to lower foam. Small formation, small lacing. Nose up front is explosive with pineapple upside down cake and coconut rum. Taste is a tad papery, some sugar, and some hefty bitterness that lingers like eating a Brazil nut or walnut. Not what I would call ’bright’ or ’juicy’. Somewhat spicy with mild butterscotch. A bit dusty in finish. Nice, but Alchemist has got to be the most overhyped brewery out there right now.

Tap at Blind Tiger. Deep cloudy amber-gold beer. Very intense hoppy nose. The aroma is amazing. Lemon-orange peel citrus with a prominent mango tropical sweetness. Chewy and lightly resiny hoppiness with an intense tropical flavour. There is a honeyish sweetness to the malt component as well. Intense, fresh, hoppy IIPA. Man, I love these guys.

Can. Thanks chris. Not as good as heady topper I feel. This is more west coast which i like but it seems lacking all around.
