4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Can that came as a bonus in a trade, thanks Lukaduke! Chilled this one straight away, it didnít stand a chance of making it through the night. I had a couple of these on a trip to Vermont and was excited to revisit. It certainly didnít disappoint. Is it head and shoulders above other DIPAs or even the best one out there? I wouldnít say so but to each their own. Certainly a prime example of the style. Disregarding the hype, itís a delicious beer that Iíd always be happy to enjoy.

Wow...what an amazing beer! Thank you Alchemist what an awesome experience! Thank you PhillyCraft for including this as a bonus! Wow it's a great beer! Ok on to the actual review...the reason I gave this a 4.8 instead of 5 is the whole appearance thing...drinking from the can all I saw was the can. The flavor is grapefruit, orange hop goodness! Not too bitter. This beer is amazing. Sometimes I wish I lived in Vermont!!

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Bought from the cannery in Waterbury. Was excited to try it and it didnít disappoint. In fact it is unreal how good it is. Resin, spruce, citrus, grass on the nose, but the body is light, itís dry, itís balanced, alcohol well integrated. Also the most recent one I drank smelled like weeeeed man. It was really pronounced. In any case, itís a delicious beer, I literally have nothing bad to say about it, hence the 5. Buy it when you see it.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20
16oz can. Poured into a sam glass (against clear instructions on can). Cloudy yellow with a white head and medium lacing. Possibly the cloudiest beer I have ever seen. HUGE hop aroma which surprisingly does not overwhelm the flavors. Yes it has alot of hop flavors, great flavors of grapefruit and pine, but somehow the 120 IBUs do not slap you in the face. There is some magic sorcery going on here. I had to go on a quest to find this stuff as I was driving through the organic state of VT but a quickie mart at a mobil gas station saved the day when I found their last 4 pack. The hype is true my friends. Go north to the green state and seek this stuff out. Possibly the best beverage a hop head could wish for.

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
(can - 16 oz) Hazy gold pour with a fizzy white head. Rich and sweet citrus hop aroma but not overpoweringly hoppy. Flavor is amazingly smooth and citrusy. The hops are definitely present along with the bitterness but theyíre balanced out by a strong grapefruit sweetness and a lingering pine resin finish. Definitely not as thick or heavy as I thought it would be. Highly impressed.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
I have been fortunate enough to have this beer on several occasions now. For me it is almost the perfect beer. The aroma is incredible...like sticking your nose in a bag of hops. The beer is lighter bodied than you would expect form a DIPA. As the can says "So Drinkable it is Scary".
I hope I am lucky enough to have a few more of these soon.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Perfect DIPA even with hype which normally helps make it disappointing. Big hop aroma, pine and citrus. Smooth fresh hops, bittering mango and pine. Clean aftertaste and smooth mouth feel. Really tasty.

4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Can at home. A huge thank you to the Legend of man that is Leighton. Drank part of this from a glass and the rest from the can, as per the instructions. What a treat!
Aroma is punchy tropical fruits, mango and lychee. Later develops some light pine. A little nelson sauvin character in there as well? Aroma reminds me of Punk IPA.
Pour is translucent / cloudy vibrant orange with a persistent soft whte head. Maybe some hop haze.
Flavour is lovely squishy tropical fruit with pineapple and peach. Bitterness is very firm but clean. Lingering grapefruit bitterness. Some alcohol warmth comes through.
Palate is full, but not overly stick or cloying. lively carbonation drives those hop flavours forth.
A very fine example and showcase of hops. Double IPA is often not my favourite style, because of the huge bitterness, but this beer concentrates on the hop flavour and aroma and uses the bitterness in balance. Belief the hype. This beer is excellent.

Well not for the faint or heart easily can over power the most frequent of beer advocate. A lot going on good balance and finish from a very strong hoppy beginning. Leave it for the IPA lovers pass in my book.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Poured from can into glass. Hazy yellow orange with a small white head. Light piney and citrus aroma. Taste is very hoppy up front, piney and citrusy. Very clean finish. Very clean mouthfeel. Good but not the best.
