Hazy light amber orange color with a frothy off-white to light tan head. Beautiful aroma with tons of citrusy and tropical fruit hop character. Flavor is a bit more subdued with the sweetness, but with a sharp bitter kick. Oily on the palate with bitterness lasting long into the finish. Great IPA, but not quite spectacular for me.

Hard to take your nose away from the unreal citrus hop explosion that permeates through to the last drop. Fantastic hoppy smoothness on the tongue that really does make you want to crawl into the can

This is a great double IPA plain and simple. To me not the best beer on earth but a great beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Amazing brew, the smoothest, most drinkable dipa I’ve ever tried. It’s hoppy, but not over the top, no dry bitter tongue after taste. The most impressive part is the ease that this can be consumed. Smooth smooth smooth.

Hazy straw yellow in color... Aroma is earthy, pine hops, light champagne nose.... Flavor is initially sweet, citrus, gives way to dry earthy, piney bitterness on palate.... Not overwhelmingly bitter, but definitely has a kick... Really complex and well done ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I’ve had some really good DIPAs and this really doesn’t approach that level. My friend who brought the can from Vermont, and who has had this beer many times before, said that it didn’t strike her as much as previous cans had. The hazy yellow color is nice, and the aroma is fine (standard citrus, etc.) but there’s a superficial bitterness that isn’t as well compensated by the sweetness and malt backbone as I’ve found in other DIPAs. This is fine, to be sure, very respectable, but I’m surprised it has garnered this high a rating/ranking. Can.

Une des meilleures Double IPA, que j’ai jamais but. Grande arôme trés floral, une touche de malt et de houblon bien équilibré. Teneur en alcool parfait. Son seul défaut, dure a trouver !!

Can, courtesy of northropfrye. Big hoppy a aroma right out of the can - tons of pine and some nice citrus. Flavour is quite bitter but beautifully balanced, managing to be easy drinking while still full-bodied and packing a huge hoppy punch. Thoroughly enjoyable.

What can I say about such a talked about beer? If we drink with our eyes first, nose second, and mouth third, then this is as close to a perfect beer as I believe is out there. The color is a cloudy yellow gold with a nice pillowy head, Just the look from the nonic pint glass, (yes it does stipulate that you should drink it right from the can, but I can’t) is enough to have the saliva begin to flow. The nose is all hops, citrus and pine to the max. The taste is similar, bitterness through and through, but funny enough, there is a very solid malt backbone here. Its in the shadows and hides until the finish, but there is a nice bready taste that cools off the hops just a little. Fantastic.

Such an amazing beer, had out of the can. Has the perfect amount of citrus to it. Simply amazing.
