Drank from can, aromas of pine, wheatgrass and pear.Hops, Hops & more hops. Strong bitter taste from start to finish with slight citrus notes (pineapple and a little orange) with a slight sweetness. Overall the best beer Iíve had in a long time

Pint cans, freshly imported @Brentís Chicago tasting ix/13 + 2nd can sampled xii/13. A freshly baked pineapple biscuit, bitterlemon fresh with the resiny hops of grapefruit rind, peel and even some of that white unpalatable skin in between. Heady at 8% - nonesoever. Topper: one of the best DIPAs and a redeeming, creamy specimen for some of the rest of the ABV-fuming family. Worth not heeding the "drink from the can" imperative, although its punch and taste would probably not lose much. Almost worth a 900 mile drive!

Can, thanks to NHhophead! Poured just a bit into a glass to look at... Hazy yellow pour with a very thick off white head. Nose is huge grapefruit and pine. Taste mirrors the nose; great earthy Pine and citrus hops that create a really crisp and refreshing body. The malt presence at the end really works well and balances. Slight floral, really nice finish. Worth most of the hype, really well put together.

Received two 4-packs in a trade with bostonbeans originating on the other site. Purchased a week ago, so this beer is fresh to deff... Whatever that means. First time drinking, and Iím pretty excited. Thanks, Vini! AROMA- Wow. Could I just smell this beer forever? So pungent, and so delightful. Huge citrus (specifically grapefruit and clementine), pine, and floral notes with a hint of sweetness. Youíre not gonna make a beer that smells better than this. Youíre just not. So donít even try. APP- Drank the majority of this beer from the can, but I wanted to see what it looked like, so I poured a few ounces into a snifter. Looks like grapefruit juice with a bit of orange juice poured into it. Pretty frigginí cloudy. A small head, that Iím sure would expand had I poured the whole can. Overall, not too impressive. I can see why "DRINK FROM THE CAN!" is exclaimed on the label in all caps. TASTE- Hops on hops on hops. Juicy, fruity sweetness balanced out by the hop bitterness. Hops, citrus, sweetness. In that order. And me likey that order. The bitterness lingers, requiring a solid smacking of the lips. Love that. The taste is not quite as phenomenal as the nose, but quite lovely nonetheless. PALATE- Not the best mouthfeel Iíve had in an IPA. Feels just a little bet empty. Maybe a little watery at some points. Doesnít detract too much from the beer, but could be improved. Pretty good amount of carbonation, with a dry finish. Hop oils totally coat the tongue. O- I think Iím understanding the hype. This was a really enjoyable beer. Only room for improvement would be on the appearance and the mouthfeel. But where it really counts, this beer delivers. And I have 7 more in the refrigerator. You lucky dog.

Tried it both ways out of the can and into a glass. I might say the cam is a touch better. The can is right. The pour is a dark orange almost honey color. The lacing is full and stretches all the way up the glass. Aromas of hops fill the room. They are huge and citrusy and pine. Lots of c hops here. Flavor is much the same with the enamel piercing hop profile of a classic west coast profile. There is a little more depth and complexity to the flavor though that takes this to the next level. Honey and light caramel on the flavor. Orange candy sugar sweetness. Bubblegum and a resiny pine finish. Damn each sip is like a different hop. Tasty.

Can at home courtesy of NHHOPHEAD. Pours orange with a white head. Aroma is very citrusy, piney, hoppy. Flavor is a lot of citrus and pine and hops. Very well done.

Poured from a 16 ounce can into a Spiegelau tulip - no, I didnít follow the rules and drink it out of the can. No freshness date printed on the can. Appearance: Pours a hazy dark honey blond with orange highlights and a 3 finger fluffy eggshell white head which dissipates very slowly leaving a 1/2 finger puddle of foam gently resting on top. Decent lacing. Smell: The nose is huge. I got a blast of hops as I poured it from the can into the glass. Huge citrus aroma with resinous pine, floral sweetness, pineapple, a touch of honey and just a bit of bready malt in the background . Taste: Sweet citrus, pine and grapefruit dominate throughout. The flavors arenít overly complex, but itís incredibly well-balanced. The aftertaste is bitter, but not overly so. There are hints of sweet orange in the aftertaste as well. This beer just does what it intends to do: give waves and waves of hoppy goodness on your palate. Mouthfeel: Medium-to-full-bodied with just the right amount of carbonation. Drinkability: Insanely high drinkability. I wish they still counted that toward the score here on BA. Goes down so smooth, I canít believe itís 8% ABV. Overall: Amazing beer overall. There is a reason this is considered amongst the worldís best beers. Itís phenomenal. Honestly, I donít think thereís one thing I would change about this beer. This is a beer to seek out. If you ever get the chance, you must try it. Itís world class.

Overall a very nice DIPA. Iím. It sure what all the fuss is about. I have had other DIPAs that I prefer. It doesnít look that great in the glass. I drank half from can first.

Heady pushes the envelope of hop insanity straight to the breaking point then adds 50% more hops. Hop flavor and aroma are overwhelming but bitterness doesnít even begin to keep pace. As DIPA goes, this is very accessible in terms of bitterness. Expression is of citrus and piney resin.
