4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pour a beautiful hazy/murky light orange, with a very small white head.
Aroma has plenty of tropical fruity hoppy notes like peach, grapefruit, slight pineapple, slight unripe lemons. Some hopjuice going on in this bad boy.
A Big malty/caramelly backbone here as well, and balances this one out beautifully. This thing sure is crisp!!
The taste is pretty darn bitter, with some slight sweet notes, but really crispy bitter. Hot dang this tastes good.
Medium bodied, with a pretty lively carbonation.
A huge thanks to Dr. Doodle for sending me this unexpected treat!!
Oh boy this is an easy drinkerÖ

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Can from Freddy at Bev4Less. Thanks Freddy! Open the can and donít pour into a glass, just like the can tells me not to. Aromas are hop rich, surprisingly dank and forward (I thought it would smell less like a west coast offering), with some biscuit malt already apparent. Taste is very, very good. Clean, crisp, ALL of 120 IBUs assault my tongue and roof of my mouth. If you donít love DIPA/IIPA style, with all the crazy bitterness it can bring, this wonít do it for you in the same way Pliny, or even a beer like Maine Lunch, will. This is not the crazy malty overhopped rendering of the style, all too common, but a balanced, bitter, bready, sweet craftbrew with balance and intensity in alternate, and proportionate, quantities. Really pleasing. Glad I got to try it. I ended up pouring it into a glass, just because I had to see what it looked like. Definitely murky in appearance, which is apparently how it is supposed to look when fresh. Overall, good yum.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sweet, with a very broad palate. Has some very dank and resinous flavors from the hops that are met with some slight citrus. I'm surprised that this beer has such a biscuity malt presence, but overall very good.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured from can. Hazy gold-orange, medium small white head. Wonderful aroma of citrus hops, flowers. Medium body. No alcohol, bit of carbonation. Flavor matches aroma with addition of some malty balance and is pretty intense without overhwhelming the palate. Bitter as expected but not ridiculous. Very smooth. Donít know about best ever or anything but a great beer. Stands out for cramming in all that flavor and complexity but somehow staying really drinkable.

Once again. Here we go. Canned 08JUL13
Looks ugly as ever, but at this point I respect that in itís merit 4. Nice nose with some fruits, resin and lots of herbals 3.75. Flavor is certainly very hoppy without being bitter as fuck, multilayered with the fruits and herbals 4. Medium on heavy with moderately hi carb and an off dry finish 3.75. I think this beer is excellent, but Iím not quite sold on the overall exquisite rating it gets here so regularly. I predict this will fall like Pliney in the next few years as the hype dies down (slowly due to distro). 4

Pours a cloudy apricot with some off-white foam formation. This falls to a broken sheet of the same. (3) Smells of fruits, resin, pineapple. The nose is a little bit raw and harsh, but not bad. (3.5) The flavor is really nice with a sweetness that is collaborative with the bitterness. There are flavors of resin, pine, mango. Decent enough. (4) Mouthfeel is a bit thin for the style with moderate carb and a dry finish. A little too dry of a finish. (3). This beer is not nearly as wonderful as it was the first time I tried it, maybe itís the fact that Iíve had it multiple times, or that Iím now immune to itís glory, but it is a far cry from the initial tastes I had. Maybe itís the new brewery, whatever the case is, I will likely not be seeking this out again any time soon. too bad. (3.5)
Dave, you did this. Thanks man.
Can date: not listed, but I know it to be recent.
A: Pours a hazy apricot ale with no domineering head formation, but a night sheet of honey cream foam. Spotty lace.
S: Oh yeah, pine, resin, citrus, pineapple, tropical fruits with a touch of feline urine. Very complex and the underbelly is a sweet malt foundation.
T: Plenty more of what happened in my olfactory: sweetened honey, aggressively bitter with many, many differing fruits on the palate. There are some wood tones as well. This is complex and refreshing.
M: Medium bodied with moderate on hi carb with a semi dry finish.
O: Well, I can see what all the hulla balloo is all about. This beer is hardcore hops and proves its value in my mouth. There have been some discussions about the comparison between pliny and this beer. Simply put, they cannot be compared, they are both outstanding beers with unique and ingenious characteristics which shine to eachís own. Simply put: drink this beer, it will make you happy. 4/4.5/4.5/4/4.5 (~4.5)

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Nov. 1, 2013; pint can @ Michaelís Rest., Sangerfield, NY. Half sampled from can (per brewerís instructions); half placed in tumbler glass. Chewy, well-balanced DIPA. Lighter, unfiltered pour. Minimal lacing. Complex, earthy, bready aroma. High IBUs (more evident drinking from the can) are supported by a sturdy malt backbone. Finish is long & strong. Fabulous brew deserving of the hype. Many thanks to Michael Latreille for the opportunity to preview/sample this.

Alcohol is perfectly blended with the powerful aromas, the piny and grapefruit ascents this beer have. Fruity and perfect carbonation. Wish they could sell in Quťbec! Easy top 5 of all times for me.
