4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Amazing. Smell is all hops. Tropical fruits, citrus, and grass. Taste is grapefruit pineapple mango and citrus. Touch of malt balances the intense hop and resin flavors. Finish is perfectly bitter and dry. Every bit as good as the hype. Awesome brew. My only problem is that I don't have any more.

16oz. Can: Aroma of holy hops! Scents of hops, pine, resin, hop oil, grass, grapefruit, citrus, and a hint of caramel malt. Poured amber in color with a tiny, off-white head that disappeared quickly. Cloudy. Sparkling. Full of tiny, small, and massive-sized particles throughout. Flavor is heavily bitter. Tastes of hops, pine, resin, grass, hop oil, citrus, and caramel malt. Medium body. Dry texture. Average to lively carbonation. Heavily bitter, hop, pine, resin, citrus, grass finish is dry. 8%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
From the Can. Every bit as good as people have been saying it is. Rich Tropical hop aroma, Hops smack my palate, I get Mango, pineapple and some citrus. The Alcohol isnít noticeable and this goes down very easily. Very clean and fresh. Best IPA of the year so far and reminds me of the Kernel beers from London.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
UPDATED: SEP 20, 2013 Per the instructions on the can, I did not pour into a glass. I will do that next time though to see the difference. A strong aroma still comes through pretty well out of the can and I love it. Hop resin aroma is big along with some malt and maybe spruce? Taste reminds me Bellís Hop Slam. Incredibly smooth, oily texture, nice malt backbone and amazing finish leaving the resin and spruce on the tongue for a long long time. Drank this so fast because it was just delicious. Probably the best Imperial IPA I have had. Re-rate 5/5/13 - Just traded for a bunch of this fresh and itís amazing. And for some reason itís so much better from the can than pouring into a glass. Aroma and taste is packed with pine and spruce mostly but some floral notes and malt make it through. Super fresh hop flavor and so smooth while being so bitter at the same time. This stuff is seriously awesome.

On tap at the cannery in Waterbury, VT. Pours a cloudy, bright orange colored body with a golden hue. Inch thick, very dense, creamy and frothy, pure white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a veil of lacing. Gorgeous beer. Aroma is awesome. Tons of fresh, juicy citruses with plenty of grapefruits, tangerines, and oranges. Lots of tropical fruits with some pineapple showing up with pines and florals galore. Very nice caramel backing offering a nice sweetness that accentuates the freshness and resins from the hops. Flavor is...wow. So many fresh pineapples, grapefruits, tangerines, oranges, and tropical fruits. Very juicy in the middle with pines and florals accompanied by a soft malt backing with a light caramel and pale malt sweetness. Resins come on nicely towards the end as this finishes juicy, moderately bitter, and filled with fruits as this dries nicely and remains soft and balanced. Lengthy aftertaste following an ultra soft, medium-light body and a very gentle, moderate carbonation. Overall, this is definitely worth the hype. Soooo many fresh fruits and plenty of bright pine resins and florals with such a soft and easy drinking palate. Wow, I came a long way for this one and it was worth every mile. Absolutely outstanding.

Pounder can from PUBíR courtesy of a Vermont operative (the Pennsylvania Underground Beer Railroad, which I am founder and chairman of). Pours turbid orange with 2-finger white head and some floaties. Looks like Dreadnaught, so thatís a great start. Nose is complex and huge; a medley of tropical fruit, including mango, papaya, pineapple, tangerine, black peppery spice, and caramel malt. My God the smell on this is as intense as Iíve ever experienced. Tastes incredibly hoppy, tropical fruity, resiny, and peppery, with a huge malt bill that balances the hops surprisingly well. The mouthfeel is dense, incredibly complex, and the finish pounds the papillae with hops, tropical fruit, and spicy peppery flavor. The repour gets thicker, more turbid, with a huge amount of flocculence, and is truly amazing to behold. This one is worth driving to Vermont for.

A can with no date via a trade with 46er3498. Pours (into my glass, although I did try some out of the can as instructed) with a very lightly hazed golden hued body with a large and lasting, frothy, eggshell hued head. Body hue is on par with west coast hop bombs (light in color). Pretty good retention and solid lace. Aromas are floral, hoppy, resin, pine, grapefruit pith, tangerine, mild candied and tropical fruits, grassy. Smells pretty tasty. Floral, very minimal malt and clean yeast wise. Its all about the hops as it should be. Flavors are citrusy, grassy and floral with light tropical fruit. Medium bitterness with quite a bit of resin character. Tangerine, grapefruit and some (medium) notes of high cohumulone hops that leave a bit of a tickle at the back of the throat. Very light bready and malty qualities, medium alcohol. Medium to slightly fuller carbonation, medium bodied, lasting resins, dry. Quite good, but I might lean towards fresh Surly Abrasive (especially as they have easy to find canned on dates). Solid.
