Aroma is pine hops, lemon rind, and citrusy hop oils. The flavor is the same, oily and resiny mouthfeel and good bitterness. There is a lot of citrus in the end, and good malt throughout. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 7, 2007 on tap at the blind tiger grand opening night. dark golden amber color. off white head. aroma is resiny pine, cat piss, wet eucalyptus trees, and a little hemp. flavor is dry and sweet hop, bitter. a little pithy like grapefruit, but there still was a thin caramel malt backbone to tug the other side of the scale. finsih is bitter and warm/faintly hot. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 17, 2004 Draft - Golden amber in color with almost no carbonation. In spite of the advertised IBUs, it did not have the sharp hops bite or very intense bitterness that I expected. Alcohol not at all apparent. A good, but not great beer. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 29, 2008 Tap at BT. Hazy orange pour with a thin soapy, white head. CItrus and apricot in the aroma - pleasant wildflower type hoppiness. Stronger piney/grassy component than I expected in the flavor. Nice green finish and the alcohol is well hidden. Great beer overall. ChazyRPh (571), Chazy, New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 17, 2004 Sampled at the VT brewers fest. I think I smell hops. Cascade, and something a little funky...I can’t quite put my finger on it. Kinda musty. Advertised at 120 IBUs this is not as hoppy as I expected. Average at best because of this funkiness. chimplechamp (465), Oslo, Norway

The flavour was unbelievable, big juicy flowery hops, well balanced with a good dosage of malts. the hop character is absolutely genius. citrus, flower grass, pine, none to overpowering. and such good mouthfeel really juicy hop flavour. Goldorak (439), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Creamy, satiny smooth and lushious orange, with a burly head. It really was a heady topper! Hop damn! Resinous, gooey cascade, piney, patchouli, weed and citrus rounded off the aroma.
Wicked bitter, but feels almost milky in the gullet (thank you mister cask!). An all-out hop attack, the malt can’t do anything but surrender to this unstoppable force. The hops were so intense that I actually had my fill of it, and spent the rest of my weekend drinking lambics and other low-alpha acid brews. I loved it and will have it again, but not 2-3 pints in one session.
