On tap at Alchemist. Nice hoppy grapefruit aroma. Mild piney resinous hops. Light caramel sweetness. Medium amber gold clear with thin white lacing head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Bitter fruity juicy hops at the start. Bit of electrical ozone on the tongue, too. Light sweet malt but mainly a big hit of bitter. Dry chalky bitter after.

UPDATED: DEC 9, 2011 In short: A superior citrusy IPA with a solid malt backbone. Excellent
How: Tap at brewpub, many many many times
The look: Partially cloudy orange-golden body topped by a medium white head leaving good lacings on the glass
In long: Just from the nose you can tell you’re getting a superior IPA. Intensely aromatic IPA with a strong nose of fruity hops with oranges upfront and citrus fruits in general. Tastes packs just enough crunchy toasted malts with a flavour of toasted bread, caramel and maybe some woody notes of tree bark. Plenty of fresh citrusy hops with light piney notes leaving a long bitter finish of medium-high intensity. Good attenuation, a bit on the dry side. Excellent session IPA. If all holy cows were that good there’d be a lot of drunk hindus and fewer bovines roaming the streets of New Delhi.

(Rating #978)

On tap at the alchemist. Hazy orange with a medium sized off whit head. Aroma is HUGE citrus, resiny, earthy hops with some pine thrown in as well. Taste is very hoppy and assertive, alot of citrus and pine, very resiny and lightly earthy, with a good biscuity malt backbone. Finishes pretty bitter that lingers for quite awhile. Holy Cow is right!

On cask at Alchemist. Smells of citrus and peppery hops with some pilsner malt in the background. Tastes hoppy with a nice malty palate.

Quite hoppy all around. The nose was old grapefruits and fresh cut grass. A ton of hops in the flavor. Something about the malt flavor in this one that reminds me a lot of an incredibly hopped up Bass. Unfortunately, I’m not a Bass fan and that killed it for me.

Copper body with thin white head poured from the tap in Waterbury, VT. Aroma and flavor both offer hops of pine and grapefruit and ends in a smooth, almost creamy hop aftertaste.

Five hops and six malts undisclosed. Big head, nice bitter. 85 IBU. A choice of a session ale. Bitterness offset by malt in a nice smooth balance. Better than average IPA and finishes crisp and clean

Pours a clear golden color with a thin offwhite head. Very solid aroma of floral and citrusy hops. Very good flavor of strong floral and citrusy hops with a bitter finish. Medium body with a dry texture and lively carbonation. It’s kind if unidimensional but holy cow that dimension’s good !
