ClarkVV (3547), Allston, Massachusetts, USA Apr 19, 2005 Updated: Jan 15, 2006On draught 4/16/05 at the brewpub. Golden colored body with a strong amber tint to it and a small white head, low retention. Clear, but not horribly so. Aroma of sweet malt and dough, light hops juiciness and some light German-like helles yeast. Flavor is of a solid maltiness, light honey and white bread, but then a soft, flavorful hops becomes apparent along with a wonderful lightly sour yeast finish. Very smooth, almost oily mouthfeel, low carbonation and almost no wateriness, relative to style. A very good brewpub light beer, one of the best I have had. Miguel (1181), Sorel-Tracy, Quebec, Canada May 9, 2005 Très maltée. Houblon de soutien. Les arômes s’estompent rapidement, mais reviennent à la charge avec un goût de céréales très prononcé. Très bon dans le style léger. GonZoBeeR (2019), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada May 9, 2005 Aroma:cereal and hops......
Appearance:Clear gold,good head.....
Flavor:Good malt flavor,sweet...
Very good for a light beer...
Nate (2256), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA May 15, 2007 On tap at Alchemist. Great citrusy aroma with fresh hoppy profile. Clean and light, refreshing aroma! Very lemony. Pale yellow clear with light haze. Thin white lacing head. Medium light body with mild carbonation. Mild golden ale (found out later is pale lager). Good malt graininess with citrusy hop bite. Clean dry bitter finish and after. A nice quencher and great session. hophead75 (1700), Boonton, New Jersey, USA Apr 14, 2007 sampled at the brewpub. Light golden in color. Aroma is grainy and light spicy hops. Taste is grainy, sweet pils malt, bready, with spicy hop notes, mildly bitter finish. well done.
