COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
On the evening of August 28th, 2011, I witnessed the destruction of The Alchemist Pub and Brewery. Moments before the flood waters rolled across the dining room floor, I could hear my tanks bobbing against the floor from underneath my feet. 18 tanks of beer were poured down the drain, two survived. Through an unprecedented collaboration of Vermont brewers, I am pleased to offer you a one-of-a-kind beer release.

Opaque black with a small. Tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of cocoa, dark fruits, molasses, smoke, burnt wood, and alcohol. Taste of molasses, more dark fruits, roasted malts, dark chocolate, and some alcohol in the finish.

so the name of the beer is on the back on the bottle .. . pours a solid black .. mild lacing with a medium head .. . mild roast, resh tar, and black sauce .. . palate is fleeting, short finish .. . I was standing by a door and a security guard came over. He said "You’re gonna have to move. You’re blocking the fire exit." As if there was a fire, I wasn’t gonna run. If you’re flammable and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit.

Thank you Tommy for sharing this beer with me. Really excited to try it. Enjoyed at room temp in a stemmed wine glass

A - Pitch black, minor head that quickly fades.

S - Quite ashy. a ton of cocoa and marshmallow with just a touch of turpentine.

T - Very ashy, loads of milk chocolate, lots of licorice. sort of a boldness of really nice English bittering hops, creamy vanilla and charcoal

M - Very creamy. Really sticks around for some time.

O - I enjoyed this a LOT! If you can find a bottle, send it to me!

Bottle (22 oz). From hoppypocket, thanks David! Pitch black with a medium beige head, some retention and little lacing. Aroma is quite complex with dark chocolate, raisins, liquorice, roasted malt, caramel and dark fruits. Taste is slightly sweet with raisins, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, liquorice, roasted malt, molasses and dark fruits. Alcohol is well hidden. Full bodied. Medium carbonation. Chewy mouthfeel. Creamy too. Excellent balance and quite complex. I enjoyed it a lot!

Bomber. Poured inky near black with a short, rich brown head. The aroma picked up warm chocolate, coffee, and licorice with a nice sweet roast to it.. vanilla came through as it warmed up.. great coffee right on the back. The flavor found toasty vanilla and mocha on the middle with light smoky notes, pine, and anise around.. finished warm, but not unreasonably so, with roasty malts, vanilla, and a bit more pine. Heavier-bodied with a silky smooth feel on the middle of the palate.. the big hop bill played well.. great stuff!
